Loved this year's Halloween Countdown! The Universal monsters are my favorites! I watched all of them in September, then went to Texas Chainsaw and other lovely vicious movies! Great seeing you in November!!!!!

Burn after reading is a quirky film. I enjoyed it. It is one where you have to pay attention or you get confused.

If you've seen and enjoyed the original Ladykillers with Alec Guinness, you will probably not enjoy the Tom Hanks version. The British black comedy doesn't translate well to American cinema. :: I have all the Bourne movies and watch them once a year because they are non-stop action and really get my heart going. I'm disappointed you didn't want to watch Castaway; it's one of my all-time favorite movies and very thought-provoking and depressing and it kind of leaves you hanging at the end; I watch it once a year as well but then immediately have to watch the Bourne marathon afterward to cheer myself up! And I definitely prefer the original Walking Tall with Joe Don Baker because I saw it so many times back in the 70s. You got a pretty good set for $30! :: Also, I really enjoyed the countdown this year, especially since I didn't know the studios had started the whole Horror Host thing by sending out those themed lists (even if some were kind of hit-and-miss)! Thanks for sharing!

I agree, not bad for $30. I'll check out the Bourne flicks. My son said he wanted to watch those too. I'll try to catch both Lady Killers and see how they are, but yeah, I'm sure I'd prefer the original.

Check out the original 1955 Lady Killers. Alec Guinness as Prof. Marcus almost comes across like a demented TV horror host who is the mastermind!

Right? LOL. Only 1 horror film in the batch. Some good action stuff though. Rest of the weekend was great! Always good to get out of town and weather was perfect!
