These two parts of an AC system typically go out on 2nd gen Cummins and can result in hot air coming out when they fail. In this video I show you how to install an accumulator and orfice tube on a 2nd gen Cummins.

I got the gen 3 2002 but I’m watching a lot of videos to do the dryer and orfice tube. Laughed at the “after” in the truck. It’s a great feeling huh?

What was your low side reading when clogged? I only have a low side gauge, and don't get any reading at all, but when the compressed engaged for a couple seconds, it's around 30-40 if remember correctly.

Did you half to install the purple climate control orifice tube as well?

I've been trying to figure what's wrong with mine, it leaks. I replaced the valves in the high and low pressure connectors and it worked for a while but still leaked out eventually. By the way the Dodge dealer wanted $700 to replace that line.

My ac blows nice and cold at idle but when I start driving it starts to blow hot for a bit then back to cold and so on. Would your fix work for my issue?

I replaced the line and accumulator ony gen 3 last week, blowing cold. Lasted 4 days and now I can't dump enough in to keep it cold. But I did it all ghetto and didn't vac the system like I should have so I think that's the problem.

STM II ohhh ok yeah mine doesn’t come on at all and I check my refrigerant every once in a while and it’s been at the same level for a year so ig it’s just my compressor

@@stmii7581 That is what mine is doing after replacing the compressor, high press line, accumulator and low press. switch. Today I am pulling it apart again to see if the condensor seems blocked. My fucking compressor is kicking on and off every 10 to 15 seconds still. I can jump the low press switch and make it stay on but I don't think you wanna do that for long. It still is only pushing 60 degree air out the vents. I have to have something blocked I think......I wish dealers didn't rape with such high prices

Its built in to the high pressure line. Gotta replace the entire line
