2nd Gen Dodge Ram defrost "wild vents" / lack of power in cruise

thanks..I will say Gen 2 1996 5.2 only has 1 ck valve near the valve cover. aft replacing (yes it was bad I blew air both ways) the problem was gone.. Thanks for the part number and video

I simply washed both out with water and it worked, nk more crazy vents

Thanks for the video. Where is the hose connecting to coming out of your passenger side valve cover?

It went to the plastic "F" manifold, if I recall correctly. Been tracing mine down.

Thank you for posting this, helped a lot. That intake is sceptre correct? Any noticeable sound gain after installing?

Yes it's the spectre intake. It's a very good cost effective option. I was happy with it. It looked great and sound was awesome but I'd be hard pressed to say any intake actually helps these Magnum engines. May of helped with the mileage some. I'm glad the video helped.

@@johnnylaw1875 I have the same air intake. Does yours make a quite loud sucking noise? Mine is almost annoying. And js the part number you gave for both of the check valves that can be replaced or just one?

@@bdc7273 mine did make a whooshing noise that most intakes make but nothing I'd consider annoying. An yes both check valves are the same part number.

Where did you buy those valves at?

I got them from oreillys. The for some reason dont carry them in store most time but have to get them from their warehouse. Useually takes only a day to or so to get them.

It doesn’t show which way you’re supposed to put the check valve. I don’t care if that arrow is there that doesn’t show you which way.
