This video is so helpful for people who are prescribed such medications. Having a clearer understanding of how antipsychotix medications affect the body can definitely help ease anxieties surrounding taking the medication and recognising whether the medication they are taking is the right one for the person.

I have just finished studying all of the psychiatric drugs thanks to this video and many more from the same series, you have done an amazing job teaching and you made a tricky subject incredibly comprehensible for majority of students and professionals. Thank you so much! 🧡

Just wanted to make a comment about serotonin blockade in SGAs. The main purpose is to reduce EPS symptoms, not because there is an excess of serotonin occurring with the condition itself. In fact, it's my understanding that there is a reduction in SE. Also, it is thought that there is too much Glutamate and decreased GABA.

Hi Dr.👋 what is it meant when it says that the drug is partial agonist of the D2 receptor? Does that drug decrease or increase dopamine ? Would you please elaborate on this because I do not know what that means. Thank you so much Dr 💓
