Thanks, I've been looking for a good source of information regarding corals. I acquired a 4 strand that had several red transparent beads, I used to think they were glass but they are softer.

Very very informative video thank you so much for making it because I have a red coral even though it's dull right now and need to be polished also on necklace and stud earrings of angel hair Coral with 14 karat gold clasp and the post and backings for the stud earrings are also 14 karat. And I have one solid white Coral bead necklace. I've had it for centuries 😂🤣😂🤣😂 yes I've had it for quite a number of years but now it's time to let them all go my entire jewelry collection I'm at the age where that stuff doesn't matter anymore.

I have been searching more info about angel skin coral. I was wondering if they are light or heavy and also curious if there are bangles made, or would that be impossible to be made? I also have a photo of the bangle I thought was coral.

The heft of this pink coral is about the same as shell. Bangles made from a single precious coral raw material are not a common design at all.

@@RuiGalopimdeCarvalhoFGADGA also this may sound weird but I was checking some of my Amber to see if it was real by putting it in salt water, so I figured I try to put the bangle in there because if it’s really from the sea it would appreciate it. The bracelet looked cleaner and actually turned a little more orange. It’s not shiny it’s like a dull color but it’s still beautiful just looks like this was for a jeweler to make something with.

@@RuiGalopimdeCarvalhoFGADGA I think It’s a spiny oyster bangle. One huge reason is, if I look under a microscope, the particles look like crab. I’m pretty sure that’s what I have but first time in a whole bracelet and without being polished.
