2nd month of the Milan Art Institute Online Mastery Program - my experience and thoughts

Julie, yours is the most advanced work of Mastery Program students I've seen so far. I have a feeling that this programme might not have been the right fit for you but I hope you persevered as the business training would probably be the most useful part for someone of your skill level . I love your work, it's very unique and I hope you'll continue to grow and develop as an artist.

Hi, I am also in the online Milan Mastery Program. I started paying for the course in April 2020. Unfortunately, I just bought my supplies in August. It was not in my budget in April. So I am really starting late. However I have watched all of the videos up to the Abstract week in Part 2 Mixed Media. I look forward to each weeks lessons. I have watched this video and your first months video. I would say everything you are saying is accurate. I understand the feeling of some lessons being boring to your temperament. The good thing is we are learning what appeals to us and we are learning our creative voice. You have encourage me to go ahead and get started, and I think I will make a video about my experience too. Thank you for sharing your work and your experience with the program. You are a phenomenal artist. I look forward to seeing your work, once you do the mixed media and the portfolio lessons. I think your true voice will come through.

I'm currently considering joining the Mastery program. I've watched a couple of your videos and I appreciate your honesty. I laughed at how you hated the realism assignments and loved the figure assignments because I would be the complete opposite! I do not enjoy painting human figure at all. It sounds like you attended an art college before this, which I have too, so I also appreciate that you're honest about being bored with some assignments. I felt the same way when I attended art college, like the classes were so basic and boring, and I quite after 2 years because I wanted more professional instructors that actually had experience. I think if I were to start this program, I would have a hard time with the figurative drawings in the beginning as I hate those. Human form, to me, is completely boring. LOL! I much prefer hyper realistic animals, but the problem is they end up looking too much like photos, so I have to figure out how to make them more artistic, which is what I would hope to gain from their Mastery program.

Tak for at dele dette! Super flotte malerier du laver!! Så hjælpsomt og inspirerende at se disse videos. Jeg har tænkt at måske melde mig til programmet næste gang. Er lidt usikker på om det er der er for mig. Jeg er nysgerrig på hvilken oliemaling du bruger og om du bruger linolie? Også om du selv printer dine prints eller får dem printet og så sender til kunder fra din etsyshop? Er der en printshop du i såfald kan anbefale laver flotte print?

Hej! :) Tusind tak for din søde kommentar, vi kunne helt sikkert godt bruge nogle flere danskere i programmet ;) Du er velkommen til at skrive en DM til mig på insta, hvis du har flere spørgsmål om programmet, så vi kan se om det passer godt til dig :) Hvis du gerne vil prøve dette program også har jeg et affiliate link du kan bruge for også at få et ekstra bonuskursus med, men det kan jeg fortælle mere om, hvis du er interesseret. Jeg har i hvert fald været super glad for at gøre det, og fortryder ingenting :) Jeg bruger mange forskellige oliemaling brands men kun dem af professionel kvalitet (ikke student grade). Jeg vil gerne skifte 100% til kun naturlige produkter i fremtiden. Jeg bruger linolie, ja, en lille smule, men jeg vil gerne skifte til valnøddeolie, fordi det gør ikke maleriet mere gult med tiden. Jeg får lavet mine prints enten på Godsbanen i Aarhus eller Plotteriet - også i Aarhus. Jeg kommer også snart til at få dem printet af poster & frame, som også vil stå for at sende dem ud for mig.
