This must be on a Sunday afternoon, everything closed and not too much traffic. Great video
I remember my sister lost her passport back in the eighties and we went to the British embassy and she got a paper passport to get her home. Steve The Grand Harbour looks amazing ,nothing like it anywhere in the world. As they say in Malta hafna shana, here in the UK hafna xita. Great work buddy.

Hi Steve, never really spent much time in Floriana but what little I have seen was all good. Those Plum trees have been there for as long as I can remember they add such a inviting atmosphere to the street, I was thinking that they had been trimmed to supply the fishermen the with the fronds to make the Kannizzati for the Lampuki 😊👍 Nice walk nice area. cheers 👍👍👍👍👍👍

Wonderful video Steve, love Floriana, walked up there a couple of times, the arches, the whole street and area are awesome, hope it keeps well preserved, well worth looking after it and for future generations to see how beautiful the area is. Views are fantastic over the Grand Harbour. Thank you Steve for the lovely reminder of what a fantastic island Malta is. Can't wait to get over again. Here in Cyprus our temperatures are similar as yours just now, hot 🔥.

Fantastic video Steve, really enjoyed this little walk around with you 🥰 I love Floriana. The palm trees 🌴 and the rainbow crossing 🌈 are very pretty. Maybe Zabbar got first place because of umbrella street? ☂ Is it still there? We visited in 2019. I think I have uploaded some photos of it onto Holiday Malta and there’s a few on my Instagram too. I believe the oil rigs were moved to Pula in Croatia. That’s another lovely place too. We holidayed there in July 2015. Well worth a visit 👍🏼

hi steve just caught up with this one, thanks for the video, yes floriana is very familiar place to most people as they got to go through it to get to valletta, I walked quite a few times myself from blata l'bajda to valletta, i'm not sure if that lion use to look the other way many years ago ? have they still got the football team with their green & white stripes shirts ? and is the building on the right side of those gardens still the N.A.T.O. headquarters ? bye bye.

So darn beautiful and load ped with history. I am not familiar with this location at all. I wonder about the ability to bicycle ride in parts of Malta. I have a dream of touring around on a bike but those roads don’t look too bike friendly? What are your thoughts Englishman? Is it a bad idea?

Another really interesting video Steve. I remember years ago just before the fountain there used to be an old petrol station on the left with a car park behind it. Then it was turned into underground parking. Can't find it on Google Maps. Is it still around? What factor sun cream do you use only with all that sun your out and about in you don't look like your getting a tan. Thanks for the walk around Steve.
@mwh70223 жыл бұрын
Hi Steve. The literal translation at 14:05 is. I don't go up and down the sun to look at them..... I'm sure there is a better translation but that's the internet for you! There's a great sea walk around Valletta - head down to the Sliema ferry, turn right and follow the low road (past boats). You'll eventually end up going past the harbour entrance bridge on the other side and up the steps by the Navy paintings on the wall - lovely walk.. Keep well!
@EnglishmaninMalta3 жыл бұрын
but what is it ?? a war memorial ?? Oh I did that war plenty of times ..I have video if you have time look back !! Thanks for the info

@@EnglishmaninMalta My bet is it's a remembrance garden (seeing the hospital is next door). Useless fact - the arch at the entrance to Floriana was part of the RAF driving test - if you could steer through it, you passed! (my Dad told me this years ago) Oh, I arrived on this planet in Mtafa 56 years ago!
