It's amazing how much they've grown as singers. Mitch is noticeably a much stronger singer now.
@jdblatt180810 жыл бұрын
I think Kirstie has grown the most.
@averyaugust10 жыл бұрын
Justin Blatt I think she gets a little extra scrutiny because she is the only girl and happens to have only the second highest vocal range :D. It's just great to see that they most likely haven't peaked yet.
@jdblatt180810 жыл бұрын
averyaugust I think it's true that we take certain things for granted. Everything that Mitch does is shown off more because his upper range amplifies what he sings. Then, Scott takes the lead of the lot of the time and he's also the most resilient. But after Pentatonix became their own band, she gained her own traits.
@hannahroman717410 жыл бұрын
averyaugust actually kirstie has the highest if you look at some of their videos where their just fooling around, kirstie hits higher notes than mitch can, but I love them both so much.

That white dude judge is pretty cool. He's not just padding their confidence because they gave a good performance, he's giving a real critique and I think what he said in this video was a major influence on their current sound. All their stuff now really plays up the dub step, techno, the trippy things they can do with their voices.

Watching this after hearing their cover of “Sounds of Silence” yesterday, they’ve grown so much and so powerfully.

The remix part sounds like something that would be played on the radio now, so idk what they were talking about.

My gosh! Near the end (when they had their free hands in the air pumping it up) Avi is moving back and forth with such abandon (almost jumping back and forth)! And he stays on key! How, as a Bass, does he DO that?! They are all so amazing!

Okay so this performance may not have been their best, but let's just appreciate the fact that this is the first time they did breakdowns like EDM, and absolutely killed it!

I love how they always end a performance with a smile (as they should, because they're amazing!)

This was their "worst," yet set the stage for them to make musical mountains out of molehills. It also set the pattern they have stuck with: to do a cover so awesome that it erases the original from the memory of man.

i love when Ben Folds says "you are the choochoochoochoo future" because he was absolutely right. This is the only famous acapella group I can think of, right?

HOW IN THE HECK DID THEY DO THAT AT 2:41 - 2:46?! maybe this isn't their most popular performance, but when I heard this years ago, I knew there was something special bout them! so glad and happy for all their present success!! jeez!! All those times I was raving to my friends to check this Pentatonix group out on the sing off, looking a lil bit insane, Now look how far they've come! lol.. awesome!

I've never heard this song before but the way they broke it down and did all sorts of amazing arrangements to it I was blown away and they were kids here no wonder they're so loved they're amazing

I'm just gonna say this - Pentatonix is the best group that has EVER been on this show. There is not a single genre that they haven't rocked, even the ones that I don't care for. They're very theatre, very tight, and very intelligent.

I think this has to be one of my favorite PTX songs from the sing off... It seems like a precursor to what they would do in the future, especially some of their originals. Love it!
