Very nice deck for sure and was glad to not have faced it until the finals. Finals games were close requiring some top decking on my part to close out the games I won. It was a good match overall and I liked seeing something on the more unique side doing that well at an event.

Tried at locals tonight and went 2-1. I went 0-2 sabine, 2-0 han and 2-1 boba. Pretty fun deck

what Sabine did you lose to? I'm 4-1 v Sabine atm, it seems strong into Sabine.

I ran a Yellow Luke tonight at a casual event and went undefeated, but it wasn't mill focused. It did feel great though.

The mill here is really inconsequential. It's definitely not a focus. Chopper is a 1/3 raid 1 shielded . That's the biggest 'mill' card it runs that may be different, but really it's just an excellent midrange card that disrupts resources.

Card to consider is the force is with me. 2xp + shield as long as a force unit is on board + swing. With 4 cost you can play spark, deploy and force is with me or even Luke's saber and force is with me on the same turn. So it works to increase the odds of the luke vultron deploy.

@@RandomNumberGaming So this may be controversial for you, but the cards I look at taking out for it are Cunning and surprise strike. Cunning gives 4 attack, but the unit has to survive after you give that attack and costs 6 while force is with me only costs 4 and you get the attack with the play and the bonus attack sticks around. I also suggest not being afraid to play it without a shield +2 xp and an attack is worth 4, the shield is just cherry.

@@schmelzwah straight up I'd never budge cunning from 3. Way too important in every match. it can save you almost 20 damage in a turn v aggro. I am testing dropping sneak attack for it. I love sneak attack in here but lining it up is even harder than lining the force is with me up, which may give it the slot.

@@RandomNumberGaming So I played a little bit of this more and I have come to the new conclusion that the force is with me not being in here is correct. The reason is we don't want to get stuck with too many cards that don't help us develop the board. i also still don't like sneak attack though either. Cards that I think could make this list are Chewie (5 cost sentinel is pretty solid against aggro.) Make an opening (for the boba match) (Han for more top end to not run out of 7 drop threats), The Ghost for the same reason and the fact that the deck runs 9 spectres. Argument could be made to maybe swap the r2 for 1 of ghost and keep the sneak attacks since sneak attack ghost with a kanan or ezra could be very strong. All around I found this deck very fun to play and very effective. Of course sneak attack could just be replaced by wing leader, but that scares me when we already have 15 cards that want a unit on board to be effective (surprise strike, luke's saber, cunning to a degree, and fleet lieutenants.) I am curious what cards you are considering in the sneak attack spot.

Did i play you on karabast in a BO3 on Boba Cunning? I was really impressed by a Luke Cunning deck that I played and I stumbled across this video and I think it's the same one I played. I messed around a bit on Karabast with this deck and it's insanely fun and seems to have a lot of potential. Wondering how it fares into Sabine matchups?

Not me but glad you're liking it. Against Sabine it's pretty even. You can Falcon into their Awing. Cunning is MVP in that match up

Fun list for sure. Some great reasoning on all the includes too. Only card that makes me nervous is Firespray, especially if Boba has ramped. Spark helps but I'm not sure enough. How do you find yourself typically dealing with an early Firespray hitting the board without mid game space sentinal or cards like vanquish?

You have Leias and cunnings, Falcon+surprise can take it out.

Luke voltron? You mean luke upgrade! As an mtg player we dont even use voltron anymore lol never made sense since voltron is a giant mecha combined from 5 seperate lion robots.....

I agree that voltron is a terrible term, and whoever started using it messed things up. As a fellow MtG player, our group also forbids using that term. makes no sense. I am also building a deck around Luke, and it is NOT called Luke Voltgarbagetron... Luke Upgrade is more like it!

Nope! fields here are 30-40% sabine, sabine yellow is super popular. It survives with restore, falcon eating awing and red 3, and a huge 6 turn with cunning and luke deploy.
