fantastic video! i am glad this was forwarded to me by a friend as I just started to mess around with Cunning Sabine. I had tested out a deck this past Tuesday at game night and had a fun time. I had 3 sneak attacks in my deck and surprised my opponents. After watching your video, it has given me some ideas that never crossed my mind. Thank you! I look forward to seeing how this deck continues to involve!

I've added the gunship and chewbacca since! And for sure! This deck is so fun to play!

Love the detailed breakdown! Couple of suggestions for the video: -The intro music is pretty loud in the first couple seconds and I can't hear you talk over it -Instead of doing a traditional tier list for the matchup chart, maybe you could rename the tiers to the win percentage (60/40, 50/50, etc) to make it easier to parse at a glance I'm also on a Cassian yellow list that is very similar to yours, with Cassian's draw serving the same purpose as black one. I think you are underrating Cassian! I wouldn't say he's better than Sabine but he has better matchups into certain decks (Iden, for example) and since he can draw more cards earlier in the game he can run tricks that trade card advantage for tempo like Sneak Attack and Bamboozle more consistently. Very interested to see how black one preforms for you, since running out of cards is what has kept me off of Sabine so far

I’m going to start cataloging the win rates! I believe I have a lot of data on this I can source. Regarding the intro, something shifted by like 2 seconds when I exported the video. I noticed this after I uploaded to KZbin. Darn timelines!

Regarding Cassian, I think it’s a great deck, I just don’t think it can win against the Sabine deck I’m running. Mainly due to how fast this deck is compared to Cassian. Black One has been a REALLY great bomb and it giving me more gas feels super strong. I think having the option to play an untapped walker and a black one is nice with the toolbox style play you can pivot into.

Thanks! What’s hard is like 400 games are behind this video haha. It’s really hard to show that. I’m going to put together a spreadsheet of matchup data if I can.

This is very similar to a yellow Cassian I was working on. I ran 2 sneak attack and that felt like the right number. Maybe drop the 1 Greedo for another Lothal Insurgent? I got to Leia + Greedo a few times with that deck, but I was also running Asteroid Sanctuary which was very valuable on Greedo. I don't think Asteroid Sanctuary is right for this deck though.
@rebelresource8 ай бұрын
Lothal is really bad against Boba Fett. That 2 damage toughness is a really important stat line - its good against some deck and bad against others where they have things like Death Trooper and Greed.

Cool deck. The fact that it’s weakest against the two most popular meta decks though is a bit of a bummer Fun to see a good use of black one because I thought that card was garbage, but I could see how that could be helpful
@rebelresource8 ай бұрын
My guess would be that Boba Green is nearly every decks toughest matchup. It’s just so strong and has so many answers against any deck.

How do you feel about Black one in the Sabine Command deck?

I don’t like it as much. I still think it as good card against control

Been following your deck updates and I'm interested that you have Chewbacca in there now. Is it just that he's a Sentinel to protect your weaker units from the bigger stuff opponents are starting to play on 4-5 resources?

Also, if you could keep notes in your decklist about your sideboard cards, what comes out for them and when, I would super appreciate it!

Great video, I am just shocked that you are saying Palpatine is a bad MU for you. From my experience (and many others) Palpatine has always been considered an near auto win for aggro (nearly useless leader ability, leader unit is strong but too expensive to come online on time). Can you elaborate on that?
@rebelresource8 ай бұрын
There has been a list running around that plays yellow. They play change of heart, traitorous, and just steal + trade into units. I lost to this person. I don’t have their list but honestly it was so oppressive to steal 2 units. They played a lot of early stuff like greedo etc. to make ground pretty bad. Nothing crazy there. I also think they had an off aspect “Cunning”.
@Thorrk_THT8 ай бұрын
@@rebelresource I know the deck, but I still find it hard to believe that it would have better than 30% win rate against your deck.
@rebelresource8 ай бұрын
@@Thorrk_THT it does. There was a particular player maybe playing more aggro hate. To be honest, I feel like some shady stuff can go on when playing other people… if you know what I mean (bringing in hate decks).
@Thorrk_THT8 ай бұрын
@@rebelresource in any case you can't judge a mu off one match
@rebelresource8 ай бұрын
@@Thorrk_THT yes, it’s the same list. I ended up testing with this person for like 9 games. Still not a ton of data, but their list was unique so just isn’t enough data period right now. So I have to go off the data I’m able to get. Once we have more statistical significant data the more credence I’ll give my current standings.

What do you think about having an Aggression in the deck or sideboard?
@rebelresource8 ай бұрын
Hmm... maybe. But the 6 costed cards need to be super strong and sort of end the game. Black One and Walker both do that. I don't think Aggression does.
@MrBefaro8 ай бұрын
@@rebelresource I thought it could also help with the draw in an emergency. :) But more often it could be good to ready a Green Squadron A-Wing while also remove a unit or even defeat your own K2SO if needed. But yeah, I see, this would be more for edge cases… :)

Glad to see someone else on The Black One train! No clue why he's the cheapest legendary in the set, the effect is just nuts. Draw 6 on a 4/4 body in space? Yes please! Been playing it in my Sabine deck since day one, and takes over the control decks once they think they've survived my early game 🤣

100%… helps against boba as well to dig for that for a cause to win out of nowhere

Except Sabine almost wants to win on or by the 6 resource turn
@kladdis34197 ай бұрын
@RichieDcik that's why it's good vs the control. They focus on the one for one interaction, and Black One is 4 cards in one on turn 5. And that gives you one more big push before the Superlaser Blast comes down on turn 7
@kladdis34197 ай бұрын
And then you draw 3 when they kill it too 😎
@rebelresource7 ай бұрын
@@RichieDcik I have gone down to 1 Black One in the main, and sideboard it in game 2/3 against Control. Having 1 maindeck means we can still dig for the best card to win in 1 action.
