I know a couple who hoarded like that they went to auctionsstored a hundred years of stuff
@I_am_me85603 жыл бұрын
This video was actually hard to watch! My mother was almost to this extreme of hoarding when 8 years ago, we had to clear out the house we grew up in and move her to a smaller home with no stairs that she'd have to go up and down. In most cases where someone is hoarding brand new items of value, it's because they grew up not having much, as was the case of my mom. Once they reach a point in their lives that they have money, they spend it on things that they might have desperately wanted but couldn't afford earlier in their lives! This person's " thing" seems to be electronics, especially stereo equipment and such, but they will spend every last dime buying more and more. With my mom it was cameras and camera equipment, kitchen appliances and jewelry! She is 93 now, and the only thing that has slowed her down from compulsively buying still, is the fact that she can't get out to the store by herself anymore! It may be fascinating unearthing everything they hoarded, but humorous or funny? Not in the least! It is a mental illness and if it goes unchecked, it can financially ruin the person who cannot stop spending! 😔

I know there is a need for people to go through places like this. I also know that most places like this do not have as much valuable stuff like this one. Maybe that is why in some strange way it feels wrong to be rifling through stuff that belonged to someone else. It's a necessary evil for sure, but one that can also make you feel a little sad for the person who owned this stuff.

Oh sweetie… I know you say: “I kinda classify as a very mild hoarder nothing good like this…” I just want you to know that you’re either a hoarder or you’re not. No in between! So it’s good that you’re recognizing that you are a hoarder & storage unit for both you & your daughter. You don’t want to get like this apartment is, so every single day, go in each room & get rid of 10-15 things from each room. If it’s tissues that you get rid of, that still counts. I’d start by getting rid of any dirty dishes and food that’s contaminated by being left out or bulging! I am here for you Bonnie! Even if it’s through texting 💬 on messenger or texts! I’m a very caring & loving person that just wants to help you 💜👊🏻😊🤟🏻

Everything together sold to the bare walls in ONE Auction, furniture, art, everything, family made that clear, don't know why 2nd cents has listed some of her vintage & brand new things in the vintage garbage auction full of cb radios? buckets of tubes,? brand new jbl speakers, subwoofers, brand new computer cases in a garbage vintage lot? brand new $600 subwoofer, $200 computer cases, $300 speakers? n a cheap cb radio lot with stragers garbage? so disrespectful, the family is VERY upset when they saw this, this wasn't the agreement. Everthing sold in one auction, over 100,000 people have viewed this, auction has buzz & family has contacted audiophile & collectors to bid, how can they find any of it now? Robert must fix those mistakes pronto. All in ONE 1, big auction, ..The family wanted everything sold & only wants 8mm home movies on tape plus her cross necklaces he showed on camera, & photos they couldn't find.

Was she a hoarder or a shopper? Hoarders want to repurpose old things. This looks like a home shopping network dream come true.

Hoarders can hoard things they shopped for OR things they collected/found in other ways.
