When I go into edit channels, KZbin doesn't appear. I watch KZbin more than anything and I would like to have my subscriptions show up on the home page as shown in this video

I believe just adding any custom launcher does not eliminate the stock launcher data. That data is still there in the background on your device. Therefore, in actuality, you are ADDING more data to your device's consumption and not less. Imho, to eliminate the stock launcher from your device via rooting or using ADB would be the only way to remove the stock launcher and its data. So, in summary, adding another launcher will not speed up your device. However, in most situations adding another launcher really has no negative impact on your device's speed to a large degree. I will agree using a custom launcher will give a more positive feeling and that feeling transfers into a more positive perception of experience. Meaning if you feel good. Then most likely you will believe all aspects are better, i.e., speed, storage, buffering, etc. When in fact it's just a bias dictating your overall perception and experience.

You're kind of right, but also kind of wrong. The launcher is still installed, but it's not actively running, calling for imagery, calling for trailers, calling for ads, calling for suggested shows, movies and apps, etc. This is like me closing a taxing game that's running on my PC, saying my PC now runs better and you saying "the game is still there though, you're just imagining that it's running better."

Wow, I never knew you could change the default launcher with accessibility settings now, that's great. I've been using ATV launcher on my Nvidia Shield TV boxes for years as all I want on my home page is an app launch grid, but I had to use ADB to do it, and I couldn't get it to work on my Google TV box as it broke Google services for some reason, I'm going to have to give it a try again now with the accessibility settings.

@@shanecraigtech It's quite nice if you want a very clean simple home screen, the way I have mine setup it's a 6 X 4 grid and every streaming service fits on the single screen, and the other apps I don't care about seeing all the time just get dumped into a more apps folder in that grid, otherwise the only other things on the screen are my wallpaper and the clock, date, and Bluetooth/internet connection status in the top right.
