Thanks! As a person who got into soccer from playing with friends, I’ve always had trouble keeping the ball close. When I play with my friends, I can’t go full speed. It’s either that or I just abuse my pace and hope no one is far ahead of me.

Hope this message finds you in good health. Firstly, i appreciate you for delivering high-quality video regarding football and its skill. Breaking down it in fundamental steps and delivering it with simple language. Now comes my query. In the recent episode of Blue Lock s2. Isagi talks about reflex and not thinking about doing something, just leaving it on instinct or reflex. Could you please explain to me, it is real or not. Thank you
@2oddlersКүн бұрын
Thanks for your message bro. So basically playing with instinct means letting your subconscious do the thinking. I read that the subconscious is way more powerful and quicker than our conscious mind. So even when you reach a state of flow, your mind connects to your subconscious and you make decisions within split seconds. So Isagi had to let his subconscious take over, but here's the catch. Your subconscious can also throw nonsense at you. The only way your subconscious will give you quality information is if you trained it with quality conscious thoughts. So an expert or a master can rely on reflexes but a beginner who had no training can't. So one has to first train many hours consciously before it can become a reliable reflex.

To push outside, i replant my landing foot towards where i want to go slightly, relatively fscing foward, and snap my ankle out of the gliding position. Then to come back say a defender is ehere i went, i instictively manouver the ball the opposite way whilst following its motion, so the gap is quickly covered anf im back in standard control.
