Cube is entitled to his opinion. When I watch poetic Justice lucky and Chicago are work buds. They aren’t homies. They are acquaintances, if you watch they are very quick to disrespect towards each other not just playful jabs like friends. That’s my interpretation

Pac was tripping about the Westside Connection stuff, Cube, Mack and WC dropped both Westside Slaughterhouse and West Up! in 95, while Pac was in jail, well before Hit Em Up or any of his tracks going at the east coast. I'm a massive Pac fan and always will be but dude was seriously paranoid about everything in 96, and sometimes he was just wrong.

I don’t think hate is the correct word to use. As a lifelong hip-hop fan, I’m getting tired of KZbinrs, trying to make certain rappers look bad for clicks and views. I love hip-hop and I’m not saying there aren’t real conspiracies out there but one of the biggest problems with the hip-hop fan today is they believe every conspiracy that is out there. Not all of us, but it feels like 90%. If you look at who these two men are neither of these guys had a problem calling someone out. Ice Cube publicly beef with, NWA, Cypress Hill, Common, and on the first west side connection album that whole album was pretty much a giant disc album to the East Coast. I think if they had a legitimate problem with each other to where they “hated “ each other it would’ve came out on wax without subliminals. Neither of these two were big on subliminals. They had no problem putting your name out there. Now they have a small issue with each other? Yes, I do believe that in the early 90s for a short amount of time. But there are pictures of them out there. You can find online. There’s one out there where you see ice cube with his son and Tupac sitting together. Back when o shea Jackson Junior was still a baby. I think there beef was just who’s going to be the most respected MC in the west at the time. I know today everyone likes to jump up and down like a kid on the short bus going to the zoo for the first time screaming “but Tupac was really from New York.” Do younger hip-hop fans yes, he was born in New York but his entire rap career he was living in California. He started in Northern California and then he ended it in Southern California. The whole time he was alive. Most of us didn’t even know he was born in New York he was considered a West Coast rapper his entire time he was alive. it wasn’t until the Internet became a daily thing in all of our lives where people acted like he was born in New York, grew up in New York started wrapping in New York and then signed to death row and moved to California. That’s not what happened. Tupac was a West Coast rapper.

It was corny then and it is even cornier now. 2pac dissed the Illuminati so anybody dissing 2pac just sounds illuminati confirmed. That's the issue. Black men who matter are real black men who don't are fake. Everything you are saying is fake. So you don't matter. The illuminati needs to find better things to do then lose battles dissing a rapper that has been dead 30 years, the shit is pathetic.

An interesting fact that I found is that at the beginning, Cube was supposed to be the protagonist of the movie Juice, but when he read the script, he rejected it because he didn't like the way the protagonist is, treacherous, and he lets himself be carried away by power. And now that I write this, it makes me think that 2Pac got so into that character that he acted like that after selling out to the West Coast. I don't know, that's my opinion.

Pac was influenced by Cube in his early years in the rap game. For example, in 1992, "Troublesome 21" the proyect that endup being "Strickly 4 My Niggaz" album, had unreleased songs were Pac sounded similar to Cube's style. If you didn't listen you should do. The same happend the oposite way years after, when Cube started in West Side Connection. Clearly with a sound and style similar to Pac's one. So they both influenced each other. 2 legends 4 ever. As Death Row took off so did DJ Quik, the Luniz’s, E- 40, and several other West stars blew up Cube feared irrelevance because Snoop,Dre and Pac had become the faces of the West like he was in the late 80’s til 91/92 and you can see the subtle changes to Cubes music it’s was social political consciousness then he became more Black on Black hood violent in his subject matter from anti government rants to checking other outta pocket racial groups to throwing up W’s to having that Set tripping vibe looking for conflict that’s when people immediately noticed the comparisons had Cube not formed W.C.C he was rapidly becoming obsolete and didn’t want to fade from relevance like Public Enemy did.

To me, Cube is the most underrated rapper of all time. Easily top 10. People associate him with movies but had an all-time 3 album stretch. But comparing him to someone like Pac ain't right. Pac is the most significant artist of all time. It's not ironic that the Bay shows more love to Pac than LA does. Once Pac signed to Death Row, in weeks and months, he proceeded to take LA from Dre, Snoop, and Cube. Im sure the competitive juices took over and led to some hate.

In the video there's a guy who kisses ice cubes ring that looks a lot like Pac, and the whole premise of the song is going at other rappers claiming the West Coast. It def had some subliminals in there aimed at Pac. Even nowadays Ice Cube will boast about No Vaseline being better than Hit Em Up at his concerts (I've seen him live twice) and to me it just seems salty. I wish they got to bury all this

Cube was always a biter and I'm a huge cube fan. He was on the Public Enemy shit then switched up to copy Dre/snoop then switched to copy Pac. He even started wearing a rag ties in the front like Pac. Still I think Cube is an exceptional writer and spitter he's in my top 5 but he's a biter straight up.

I don't vibe with Ice cube anymore, but I would have to agree, I didn't like the part of the movie where Pac turned on his Friend for a chick he just met, but furthermore didn't even like in the beginning. This is the difference between a man and a woman. A woman never would've done that to her homegirl, but a man would do that to his homie. Men try to impress women more than woman try to impress men

I really wish that these two chaps had of just swallowed their pride and just made up. They could have met up and had a man to man chat over a nice cup of tea, or a even a couple of bottles of '40' and talked it through. No drive by's, no popping caps at each other just two men being proper men. Think of what could have been... Collaborations on songs, even a joint album or something like that. I hope that people learn by these homies mistakes and stop and think before reaching for their 'nine'.

It's a lot of holes in this story bro. First off Cube did start the fore front of West Coast artist standing up against East Coast criticism. Mack 10's self entitled album came out in April of 1995, 3 months before 2pac was released from jail, and they dissed the East Coast hard on the song West Side Slaughterhouse and in the beginning of the song Foe Life. And even Cube was screaming West Side hard on the Lethal Injection album that came out in 1994. 2pac actually was the one who piggy backed off of Cube with the West Side and throwing up the W. The first ones to ever be vocal on wax about the East Coast was Cube and the West Side Connection. 2PAC didn't know this because he was in jail when Mack 10's album dropped. So when 2pac got released and dropped Hit Em' Up, Cube and them were almost finished with the West Side Connection album and was putting out the single Bow Down. So it looked like to 2pac that Cue bit Hit Em' Up but he actually didn't. So that's where the misunderstanding came from. But everybody knows Cube started screaming West Side and throwing up the W on the Lethal Injection album in 1994. Then they began to diss the East Coast first on WC's album on the song West Up, which came out in the beginning of 1995 when Tupac was in jail, and also on Mack 10's album, which was released april 1995 while 2pac was still locked up, in the beginning of Foe Life and flat out dissing on the song West Side Slaughterhouse. Tupac had his own personal vendetta against the East Coast that was overlapping with Cube and them vendetta which cause the misunderstanding. A lot of your stories about the beefs have a lot of holes in them like you're getting them from second hand gossipers lol. Do a little bit more research homie. But some things you do be on point with. Peace!

@@LyricalHipHopOfficial I just think hate is a strong word. Hip Hop is very competitive and you had a bunch of dominant West Coast leads that we're aiming for the top spot. Sounds like Cube had some envy towards Pac and possibly some deeper ill will since Pac was dating Yo Yo. A lot of artists were using each others slang so Pac tripping over the use of "Don" was showing his immature side when clearly hip hop at the time was inspired by the Godfather and others like Scarface... I think everything would have worked out if Pac lived. Regardless, this is a well put together video stating facts instead of opinions. Respect ✊🏾👌🏾
