Just wait until you see 2PM perform "Heartbeat" live. Every time they perform this song each of the members "die" in their own unique way. It's another iconic moment for them. This song is also one of their most popular, well-known and highly recognized songs. Funny thing is you're right, you saw Taecyeon singing during "Back 2U", but you didn't see him while they were dancing. He had broke his arm in the middle of the concert tour when the members were messing around during their downtime. He was armwrestling with Junho and his arm snapped. He had to have surgery and his arm has a large scar on it that you can still see. Just another example of how 2PM are super chaotic and definitely have that iconic second gen. energy. Even beast idols don't know their own strength, LOL.

Taecyeon is there during Back 2U, but he couldn't dance during the concert tour, Six Beautiful Days because he'd broken his arm while arm wrestling with the other members. To this day, he has a scar on his left arm which is very visible when not hidden by make-up. I'm glad you're still discovering 2PM, and I hope you'll keep reacting to them. Just wanted to provide a bit more context for Heartbeat and Without U (because that was at the height of my kpop fan-ness 😅) Heartbeat is one of the most iconic songs by 2PM (if not the most iconic)! It was covered by just about every kpop group at the time and the beginning of the song (with the choreography of the beating heart) was legendary, and it's hard to capture the level of notoriety that song had at the time. So glad you got to it now! I think the drama of Without U was amplified by the fact that it was the first comeback after Jay Park left 2PM. It was when kpop was really taking off and everyone had their opinion on the situation - in hindsight it probably wasn't that big a deal but it felt so monumental at the time! Another iconic song 🥰 (And Back 2U is just that song.)

I understand a little that sometimes it is difficult to fully appreciate some songs, it is true that many times it is better to listen to the audio without the video production behind it! Over time it happens to me now that I have to listen to many of their songs LIVE, I don't know, they just sound better, maybe because their voices are not the same as when they actually recorded. But it's always a pleasure to see their concerts hahaha. I hope you can continue listening to 2PM and giving us HOTTEST (2pm fandom name) more content! It is always appreciated. I'm Junho-biased, he's even my ult, but nothing wrecks me like Chansung's Back 2 U fancam. That whole performance he was WILDING 😂 Also, 2PM is one of those groups that's performance oriented, so everything is better live. I'd especially recommend Heartbeat and Without You live (iconic 6 Nights version) but rolling it back a bit, Again & Again R&B/ballad version from their Genesis of 2PM concert is a must.

They have so much good content, but it's rare to find ppl reacting to them nowadays 😢 I was not disappointed with your reaction to Back2U 😂 definitely introduces you to their OG stripper days/side. I'm glad you could still appreciate the song and vocals despite the "sexy" performance, because so many kpop fans don't give them enough credit where it's due, since they always sing live. Even without the visuals, Back2U is easily in my top 10 2pm songs, and that's saying a lot considering they're my ultimate bias group. I can count all of the songs of theirs I don't like on one hand, so 🙄 and yeah, Chansung's hips don't lie (Wooyoung's don't either-check out his Single Ladies cover 😅) as others commented, you should also check out Missing You for similar vibe, if you know what I mean 😏 also, you might not be ready to jump down the rabbit hole, but their solos-especially Japanese ones, are so good! Chansung's Oh, Wooyoung's Give Up & Sexy Lady, Junho's solo version of Nobody Else (The Last Night Tour 😳), and Jun.K's Think About You for more sexiness. For more tame ones, Jun. K's Alive and Junho's Fire & Kimi no Koe are good. I like how they even perform each other's solo songs at their JP concerts. It's so interesting to see them try different concepts or their different interpretations. They also do a lot of unit songs, like Kanojo (NK&WY), Versus (JH&CS), and 50 50 (JK&TY), which aren't very well-known, but I highly recommend. Another unit song from earlier on would be Move On (WY&JH). Although I don't get as much an uncanny feeling as you did when watching Heartbeat or Without U, I can kinda relate to it. I used to be a kpop hater when my bff tried to introduce me to the world of kpop in high school, starting with 2pm, and the first MV she showed me was Without U. I was not having it, because it was so ridiculously dramatic to me, and I felt the dance was kind of corny at the time. I would definitely not show that as the first kpop song to introduce a newbie to, because even though I've grown to appreciate it now, I can see how kpop haters would be able to nitpick it so much. I still joke with my bff to this day that because of her poor choice of song, I ended up hating 2pm and kpop for another year. In fact, I probably wouldn't have given them another chance if it weren't for Take Off, which I coincidentally heard while watching Blue Exorcist, and thought, "hmm, this song is pretty good, but it kinda sounds like kpop," and ofc it was 2pm! And the rest is history. You should consider checking it out if you like uplifting songs that don't sound over the top happy-go-lucky. If you ever decide to branch out and check out their show appearances, 2pm Show, Idol Army, and Wild Bunny are classics and super hilarious.

Btw the more you listen to their songs the more you will love them. Because 2pm concept is to stay away from trends. "Heartbeat" gets referred to a lot in kdramas that feature 2PM members. There's at least a couple references in Vincenzo. You should check out a live performance of "Promise (I'll Be)." The choreography is really good. The song is one of the title tracks on their album Gentlemen's Game, which is why you got that gentlemen vibe from them. It was written by Taecyeon btw. "Back 2U" is amazing😍 Taecyeon was on the upper part of the stage when he sang his part. As others have already mentioned, he had broken his arm while arm wrestling with Junho, and that's why he has a huge scar on his left arm. Yeah, they don't arm wrestle anymore......

Hah! I just found your channel and just binge-watched all your 2PM reactions 😊 I comment a lil early but I couldn't hold back: To this day Without U is on of my most loved 2PM songs. It's funny you mentioned that it reminded you of Heartbeat bc Without U was released in April 2010 and Heartbeat in November 2009. So rather close together. (I'm pretty sure someone mentioned it before, but JPark left before Heartbeat so he was around for around 1 year. Heartbeat was their first MV without him in it. Ever since then, 2PM has no leader (even tho they mostly sent Taec to talk to the higher ups bc he's real good at that) I found out about 2PM when they were having their promos for Heartbeat and I was there when Without U was released. So maybe that's also part why I adore this song so much. But listen, this was my SONG when I was ~15 years old. I can proudly say that I spent half my life together with these 6 lovely idiots and I adore them very much. I'm glad you found them and I'm happy you seem to enjoy most of their songs. I can highly recomment their b tracks as well bc 2PM really makes GOOD MUSIC! Also, their live stages (you've seen a few for yoursefl) are always special. They love to change the sets and also sometimes the music style and them singing live - with such strong and stable voices - after dancing their asses off (literally 😋) is still so impressive to me 🥰 Even more so bc back in the day many said 2PM could not sing - HA! 2pm Heartbeat was the first song they did without Jay and i was heartbroken! but it also my favorite song by 2pm ironically lol. I feel like kpop use to get really creative back than to make it self stand out. 2pm was still rookies at this point and was coming off a scandal ( jay hiatus) and going full speed into another one ( Jay being kicked out the group). 2009 was a crazy year but a lot of kpop bops dropped in that year.

in "promise" the reason they don't show up all together is part of the concept of the video. they are divided into pairs, each with a "winner" & "loser" - wooyoung & nichkhun, jun. K & chansung, taecyeon & junho. that's why it keeps cutting between shots of a "winner" with his gal and a "loser" alone looking pissed off. that's why in the dance scenes jun. K morphs into chansung, nichkhun morphs into wooyoung, etc. they're juxtaposing the pairs to amplify the heartbreak of the losing members. watch it again with this in mind and it makes more sense. ^___^

If you want to watch Fancams of 2PM I want to suggest you watch Wooyoung's Fancams. He is the Main Dancer of 2PM and has a really cool style. He dances and moves like flowing water. Something I don't see many Hottest try to Hype up Wooyoung as a main dancer and I find that very disappointing because he is such an underrated dancer with so much experience. Honestly I have never seen anyone as good at him in Freestyle. He deserves to be talked about more as one of Kpop's representative Dancers.

Having come to these guys cause I loved them in variety shows and dramas, I do find their back catalogue slightly cringe, slightly dated but love it all the same, all the "talking" in all the songs makes me want to vomit but I love them! Explain!! I cannot hear Heartbeat now without just seeing Kwangsoo sing it (or try to ha). Been watching you a long time now and i think this group has you stumped for words. Bless.
