Yeah...it was perfect for TV drama but that's a lie that the court could have easily disproven with a paternity test. Even tho Jenna was going to jail, as Charlie's mother she could have very easily made Bobby the legal guardian of Charlie or since Bobby was a wealthy and influential member of the Ewing family, he could have become Charlie's foster parent or even adopted her.

The second husband's name was on the birth certificate. She would not admit it until the child was 18 years old. She wanted the second husband to be the father. I also went to school with a girl that I thought was a distant cousin. Come to find out her mom dated two guys. She got pregnant and wanted to marry the man with the most money. For 18 years she didn't know who her real father was. I would have asked her out on a date if I knew that she wasn't my cousin!

once Jeanna went to prison for something she didn't do she gave up all hope of being free I remember her later telling Bobby to forget her and she didn't want his help she accepted she was going to stay in prison and never be free again..............later whn it was proven she didn't commit murder she so easily thanked Bobby and the Ewings for help and was back to her old self again.

Their was an early episode where the late Italian tried to get Charlie an Italian passport from the consulate possibly the one in Houston but the child was not an Italian citizen at birth because the name Bobby Ewing appeared on that birth certificate. You're right that nobody would have Bobby's haircut today but the Dallas TV show aired during a different time. The hairstyles of a lot of both the male and female characters were popular back then and very much reminiscent of the late 70's and 80's.
