We were all so delighted to kick off our acoustic sessions with Hassan. He tipped up at the studio with a few legends as well.
HBR played six songs for us including two fantastic cover versions. One from the Stone Temple Pilots, Interstate Love Song & one from Zeppelin, Black Dog. Hassan took care of the vocals, while Hamish Stewart played bass, Danny Cummings kept the groove, Jamie Moses played acoustic and a little electric guitars and finally Melvin Duffy played steel & slide. Educated in Tampa Florida and now based between Bahrain, Dubai and London, Hassan is truly a international person of the planet. His Mother tongue is Arabic and he is very proud of his heritage, on the flip side we have chilled out hippy from the states. The latest album from HBR “A Better Yeah” was written with long time musical partner Charlie Casey. Writing sessions took place in London, Dubai and Paris early 2014 and the results then led the two to Peter Gabriel’s “Real World Studio” studio in Wiltshire U.K.
