Hey Jenn, new here. Yeah for the phones you are paying for the phone itself AND the service to use the phone. If you decide to go to a different service provider, make sure to check if you have a lock sims card. That’s another way to keep you with them; having a locked sims card means that that sims card is only for that provider and another company can’t put that phone on their plan. Hopefully that makes sense. 15:05

I completely agree about the phone plans! One way you could do it if they keep you on the contract is keep the money you have saved for it and add the monthly contracted amount to your bill each month. Does that make sense? At least you will have all the money for the phones set aside, even if you can't pay it off. I hope they work with you, they might. And I'm so happy for you about the mirror! It's so beautiful!💗

I'm finally caught up. After losing my job, I put all my time and effort into finding another one. I'm back down to $0 savings but have finally started a FT gig. I haven't received my first full check so I'm not sure how to budget everything yet, but we decided to start the $5 100 envelope challenge. We just started this week with the intention of saving $5 that I had hidden in my wallet (I did such a good job that even I forgot about it 😅). I'm happy to report that at the end of the first week, we have saved $15. 🎉🎉🎉 Once we save the full amount, we're putting it towards posting off our debt. Thanks to your advice we were able to make it through a really difficult time and come out fighting. Please keep doing what you're doing. ❤

It's not just Verizon. I used to work for comcast, they'd change channel lineup quite often and what's in packets so folks have to change/extend to get what they specifically want and comp makes more money. And folks so spoilt they keep getting more rather then walking away.

Usually you are locked in for 2 years if you got phones. So you will still have to pay monthly bill. Some companies make you pay like 250.00 fee to get out of contract. Yeah so need to talk to them to figure out what you need to do and how much total.
