Caterpillar D7E 48A backfills dry pond

Looks like a nice one that's been taken care of. I have a 1968 Cat D7E 48A Power Shiftt, Winch, ROPS, and Forestry Package,.. also a 1986 Cat D4E XL 51X, Power Shift , six way blade, winch , They're what Caterpillars should be to me.🍷😎👌

Very nice clean D7E, nice t see it doing it's job well. I love the sound of the 4 banger engine in that machine.... I had a 48A D7E, and a D7G and couple of HD16B's that size machine is a great size for many jobs a versatile size and easy to move.. Thanks for for showing and keeping the good old real machines alive, in the new age of electronics, thin sheet metal and plastic; that old CAT will outlast a new D7 any day!! I wished I had thought to film all of ours when we had them..

That was the first "modern" dozer I ran....would love to have another one with 300 acres!!

Is that a Turbo 2 Air Cleaner. Nice old tractor. Old is Gold.

Air cleaner is original, black air screen on top is original part number. Put on new screen last year, it's what was listed in parts book for this 48A.

Video is hard to tell where low place where water will flow but alot of times like beginning filling a ditch full of grass and weeds needs core out before filling with fresh dirt then spread grass and weeds back over top! Seen alot wash outs come right back after big rains because washed fresh dirt right away because water flowed under thru grass and weeds!
