What is that four cylinder from? Yamaha V-max four? Not too many four cylinder 2-strokes out there!

Yamaha tz500 g,h, or j-model., a customer racing bike's motor. Oh, seems internals based on later tz250 motors

Question: why isnt there an exhaust manifold? Is it just a matter of style or an exhaust manifold for multicylinder 2 stroke engines hurts performance?

João Agnelo hope you read this, answer for you (: so the number 1 reason is exhaust scavenging. some of the combustion process continues on in the exhaust pipes, and the geometry of the manifold affects performance a LOT. you cannot combine this scavenging with other cylinders because they have power strokes at different times. each cylinder needs its own
