the pipes butterfly valve causes the return stuffing wave to return earlier for reving higher, more than it would normally be able to allow. But that early wave causes the positive return wave to overlap the negative wave which cancels them out where they overlap which is bad for intake.

@diggy-d8w

It's an interesting motor & while I don't know much about the EU restrictions, that really means this little engine can be uncorked to release even more power? Or that's kinda what I'm hoping? All the restrictions put by California on motorcycles seem to be taken off by people on youtube? I'm not a mechanic but if this is EU Wrapped I think that a real mechanic could do some good things. Have you worked w/ these or bought them? Where would you buy them or where might I go to shop? I ask you b/c IDKnow jacksH!Te about them & I'm thankful you know more? All of the "Moped" type engines I've seen are really rough made pieces of junk for the most part. Poor quality & a knock off from the 1940's that's they sell us now. I do like this Simpson Engine. I might build a decent moped style bike & save the money that I'd spend on the Honda 150L Dual Sport I've been looking at? If I can get a decent motor, bike frame/suspension, and setup that's safe?? That's what I'd like to do so I've got a lot to research here but anything you add is appreciated. Thanks for that post & for sharing. peace
