You will and would gain so much traction on youtube if you reposted these videos with the common language for the title. Climbing with 2 aiders. or 2 aiders climbing sytem. or Lightweight climbing system. Lighter than 1 sticking something like that to be able to showcase these things to an audience that only sees KZbin-recommended videos. It would help so many people

So if you didn’t have a fixed length foot tether you could adjust its length to accommodate narrow or wide trees without double wrapping it? It seems advancing a double wrapped foot tether would be more difficult. I can see though, why you like to take your foot out to advance the foot tether.

Hey Paul! You are correct. an adjustable foot aider does allow you to not double wrap. I dont have any problem with moving the double wrapped foot aider and dont want the hassle of another connection point, another friction hitch to worry about or another carbiner...but thats just me. Lots of folks using adjustablke foot loops though!

Are you standing up with your dominant leg or wrapping the tree with your dominant leg? I just tried this method on a similar tree and found it extremely difficult to be hands free to advance my main tether.
