I have one of these bad boys. My dad has the 1997 model and 2 other 2000 models all very clean. But I like the 1997 being wider and more aggressive. I'll probably put a 2uz or any UZ motor in mine. Lol, my dad was talking about dropping the motor out of the car to fix the knocking on the valve or shims, idk, but I might convince him to put a UZ in it 😂 V8 power baby!!!

Pros of swapping in a 2uz over a 1uz?

From my experience if you’re going to keep it stock the 2uz is better since it has more displacement and more torque than the 1uz. Once you want to force more power, the 1uz has thicker rods to handle more power
