I’ve been lucky enough to have driven about a dozen Tesla Roadster. The easiest way to get in is to remove the top, step in, and the drop down. Fun little car that felt more like a little home made race car than a production vehicle.

I worked for Panasonic in the car stereo division in 2007 and those car stereos had all kinds of external modules for Bluetooth XM microphones for the phone connection. Another module to connect your iPod.

Airbag cover should be held on with 4 of these B121U0117F. They are one time use so whenever you're done with playing with the interior then install them.

Major problem with Roadsters. You can't use Tesla Superchargers. So you are stuck with J1772 super s-l-o-w charging - about 20 miles per hour.

A 3rd party battery rebuilder might be able to seriously boost the battery performance/ or reduce weight with newer technology modules.

Right now, there are only two shops that work on the roadster. Gruber in Arizona and Medlock in Oregon. At least one of them is working on a battery upgrade, but it's not financially feasible yet.

Japan used to have a really under the radar tariff system. All imported cars had to be LHD, even though they were an RHD country. So Brit cars, designed as RHD, could only be exported as LHD, which must have hurt exports to Japan...

Watching you guys taking the Lotus dashboard apart is amusing. The airbag cover is SUPPOSED to be held on with sacrificial plastic clips that break away when the airbag deploys. Janky repairers will use tape or Velcro but they are supposed to replace the clips. For the record, that radio panel is for the Elise, not the Tesla. The Tesla had a double-din radio.

Five years ago you could get one for $50k-90k. There were around 2500 built. Some were destroyed in accidents and over 30 were lost in a fire at Gruber Motors about 4 years ago... including my friend's (same color as Freddy's). He paid ~$60k a few years before and got $120k from the insurance company after the fire.
