The only people I've ever heard say that the FN2 type R is hated, are car reviewers/journalists and people on Instagram who pretty much hates anything that isn't crazy expensive. In reality, its very loved, even outside the Honda community.

Sorry but its ugly
@Necron00b3 ай бұрын
I would dispute that personally. When that body shape was revealed, it almost turned an entire generation of Honda lovers against it. At least in the UK. I still know people today who lament the choice to make it look the way it does. The detailer guys were right the previous gen was way more valued and loved which added to the vitriol.
@Asdasty3 ай бұрын
@@Necron00b I also thought it was not great looking when it first came out. But right now, in the current car scene, people seem to love it. Including me. I think it aged well. Never got bored of that vtec scream, stupendously roomy, very comfortable, handed it a beating on a daily basis and it still came back for more. Only downside was that it liked a drop of oil. So much better than the focus st mk3 I replaced it with, that's a car that definitely needs a decent lsd! Currently in an amg merc, but miss that little type r! I have the EX model of this shape as the family car, couldn’t stretch to a Type R. I remember when they came out they seemed like the future, so I was so chuffed a few years back when I could finally afford a second hand 2008 model. ( I couldn’t - it was my student loan). It was a tiny bit gutting to see how derided they are in the car community, as I still enjoy it both to sit and to look back at when I walk away. I’ve not driven many cars, as it took me well into adulthood to afford to learn to drive, but I love my civic. I did briefly have a beautiful blue Type S GT that had been modded and looked stunning, but sadly was riddled with gremlins and underneath looked like it had been in a flood and I just couldn’t risk driving my kids around in it, so it went back and the EX has served me well ever since. Shame it feels like they fitted bricks instead of springs in the suspension is the only real bug bear.
