Those personal connections to cars are awesome. I get nothing from seeing super-rich guys buying hyper cars and the entire Ferrari range to get on a special boys list, I like seeing enthusiasts having story and managing to pursue a dream. I LOVE this car. The RX-8 can be amazing if loved right. I recently bought my dream car, the 2005 Mazda RX-8 Shinka Edition. It’s amazing. There’s a lot that can be played with if you have the time and patience. It’s not a crazy money pit (outside of the engine until you get a couple extras) and aftermarket parts are plentiful and help greatly. Congratulations!! I hope to see more RX-8 content as soon as possible!

G'day boys...i had the 2003 original gen 1, in the GT spec....it was a crazy car and stock it drove on rails. With its perfect 50/50 weight ratio...shitty 13b a rotory can go to 10+thousand RPM, so while your changing 1st to second...a rotory will still be in 1st..and when your in 4th its still in second going to 3rd. It's rev range is outstanding for a 1.3lt engine, and if seals wher'nt such a problem i think more rotorys would be on the road, you also take into account its the only engine you can keep adding rotors to and build as big as you want.. rotaries go through spark plugs a lot cause they use the motor oil to help lube during combustion. Unless you get rid of that and use pre mix in your fuel instead.

It’s most likely not 14 owners. If you look at the dates it is in August of each year that the “owner changed,” but it’s most likely just registration/tag renewal. It says change of ownership or document renewal right on the description. So 2009 + 14 renewals takes us right up to 2023. Is actually kinda crappy that car vertical displays it like that.

I owned an RX-8. I seriously loved the feel of the rotary engine. Man it could go so fast but I did have to replace the engine and it was hit and totaled. A Mazda guy said I had to drive it like a race car to kerp the engine in top shape but it was my daily and I just couldn't do that. Still miss it but Tavarish is right, the engine gave out at 30,000 miles. I wish that could be fixed because they feel so great to drive! I love the look of it without the kit. So artistic!

the reason you need a toolkit for a Harley is that the nuts and bolts and fasteners are SAE & not metric the thread pitch is prone to road vibration and becomes loose unless you use thread seal and lock, that is what the US govt discovered with the tanks the increased vibration loosened bolts and the switched to metric same with corvettes: Cars started being hybrids in the late 70's, with the body and fasteners metric and the engine/trans/diff and brakes still US measurements. As major mechanical systems are redesigned from scratch (700R4 Trans) they are made metric. A new Corvette is now all metric, as it is new from the ground up since '97

@kavinskysmith4094Ай бұрын
I half wonder if part of the issue with the RX8 and its reputation could be its fueling system, on the RX7 they used the gas as part of the cooling for the engine so as you run dry, it would starve the motor of its ability to cool properly, and grenade the engine, which mixed in with the small tank, always lead to problems if you dont keep it over half a tank at all times so a deeper fuel tank with a bigger and better pick up, might be a good thing to do for starters, either that or an accusump, a thing they put on old V8's to keep it oiled in the corners so they dont have to convert it to a dry sump lubrication system
