@Brian McEntee #21 So its pretty short to learn. It takes about a week if you know the tperm (adjacent corner swap) and the yperm (diagonal corner swap.) I would say the best way to learn is to just keep going back and forth between the algs to solve. If you want to get really fast, learn full cll or if you are super determined learn full e.g.

@Brian McEntee #21 O wait I forgot, cll and eg will take a much longer time to learn than ortega as the alg move count and the number algs of them is much larger. I have been learning cll for about 2 months and I only have learned 29 algs, so it is very hard.

J-perm: You should know this T-perm from 3x3 Me: *cries in 2-look CFOP*
@o_p0tterhead
@o_p0tterhead 4 жыл бұрын
Hi! The first step in 2look PLL has got two algorithms - one with the corners being with opposite colours (so blue-green and orange-red if you solve on white) and one with the corners' colours being adjacent with headlights. If you have learned 2look CFOP from J Perm's videos, you'll see that the latter is in fact a T perm! (The first case btw uses a Y perm.)

Alternative for t-perm in PBL case 3 and case 4 - R B' R F2 R' B R F2 R2 In case 3 -Doing this algorithm will complete the layer if 1 bar is already present (put bar side on front top). Case 4- if no bars present then doing this algorith once will create a bar and now u can proceed as case 3 of PBL.

R' U R' F2 R F' R with the bar on top in the back and no bars on the bottom is wayyyy easier than that double regrip alg where you put the bar in the front. Start with your right hand thumb on top/fingers on bottom and you literally have 0 regrips (use your right thumb for the F' at the end).
@AdamGaskins
@AdamGaskins 5 жыл бұрын
You can do the alg in the video without regripping (R U' R F2 R' U R'). Start with your right thumb on bottom, and when you get to F2 your thumb should be on the bottom, and you can use your ring finger/pinky to do the F2. In any case I will still be stealing the algorithm you posted for the case when the bar is in the back so I don't have to do a U2, thanks! :^)

this is for me So I break algorithms down to their basic components, as it helps me get a better understanding of their actions and makes it easier for me to memorize. I would like your opinions on my analysis, and I hope it helps you! 0:33 Anti Sune (R U2 R' U')(R U' R'): just the reverse of the Sune algorithm, with the correct position of the corners as per the drawing. 0:45 Sune: (R U R' U)(R U2 R') this is a well known algorithm and is also used on 3x3 CFOP. 0:54 Is just a sexy-move followed by a sledgehammer (R U R' U')(R' F R F'). You should be familiar with both of them. 1:04 is a conjugation of the sexy move, made by moving the front layer (F)(R U R' U')(F'). 1:13 is the reverse of the case at 0:54, i.e. reverse sledgehammer followed by a reverse sexy move (F R' F' R)(U R U' R'). 1:24 I could not break this one down any further, but it seems pretty easy to learn as it is only five moves long. It is notable that the R move in the middle is interchangeable with an R'. 1:35 Again, I could not break the first any further, though you might know it as it is taken from the similar OLL case in 3x3. The second algorithm is simply a conjugation of the sexy move, as shown in the video.

If it's a speedcube, don't use vaseline. I recommend the three pack of Traxxas 10k, 30k, and 50k from Amazon, and maybe some silk as well. I always put 50k on the core. If I want to speed it up, 10k on pieces. for slowing down, probably 30k, it depends. I also sometimes mix them. Dnm gives short bursts of speed
