I actually agree with Addison. The mother ASKED her to do this. She has 6 children....this was number 7....and she's exhausted. She doesn't want anymore children and she wanted Addison to make it so, and she told Addison specifically that her husband couldn't know. Addison's right....their duty is to the patient. Not the husband. Just because the wife is now such a coward that she can't tell her husband the truth, doesn't change that.

She is not required to heed the husband's wishes....she is required to heed her patient's. And the mother said "Do this for me....make it where I can't have more babies....and don't tell my husband".

@Kat J granted. And I agree with you to a point. I don't think its cowardly for a patient to tell her doctor "I have 7 kids....I'm exhauste. I need you to do this for me so I don't have any more kids. The cowardice came when she told her husband this was their last, but then she refused to tell the truth even when Addison went to her and said "this is my name and reputation you are ruining with this lie.....you need to tell your husband what really happened" and she refused because she didn't want hubby to be mad at her.
