dunno. they should take a look into DNF Duel if they want to go "cartoon" style. Now it seems dry and some moves effects look too cartoonish and disconnected from the game, while DNF looks really juicy and well realized. Also, they should improve "paper"-like hit sounds.

The actual FGC shoutout sold me on this game. these games usually have at best handwaved scenes and at worst active roadblocks from developers. riot is built on esports. so you can imagine that they look at the FGC and how its been mishandled and they are salivating at the chance to be the "saviors". We'll see how it plays out. I'm not completely sure if long time FGC fans and players will actually like the esports treatment. but I imagine that it will bring a lot of new players into a space that has historically be very intimidating to new players.

@@bonzwah1 we are both seeing the same future and it's scary, I've seen how esports gets handled, and like I've always said in the FGC community you need a big brain, a big heart, and even bigger balls to step in the ring with most of these guys. I'm really worried about them new players because in fighting games you don't have a team to blame for your fuck ups it's all on you and your skill and your brain which is why fighting games at least to me have always been looked at as the hardest genre of game to master

Yeah , I wonder if that means there is no cross up protection or a block button , I would be glad because I don't like those. That mix up looked super nasty tho. Like that seemed kinda too hard to block. I also wanted to know if the game would have a dash macro or not. Kinda disappointed they pretty much didn't say anything in the movement section about it.

@@walabixha1746 i think its a 4-5 button game (norm1-3, at least one special button) and they wanna make it easier input wise, so there will be a dedicated assist button (at least one). Also most characters seem to have a run and command dash from what i understood, so a run/other mobility button i guess. That's already at least 6 buttons. I guess there could be a seperate possible macro for each assist, so at least 2 free unbound buttons. Lets take a pad- attack/special buttons on the face, top buttons for assist+run and two free triggers. My guess is, run will be a seperate button from dash, which will be a double direction. Or the other way around, we will see

@@walabixha1746 Team fighters always favor offense, and defense typically rates somewhere between "there are no turns" and "if you block, you are now losing". As long as you can't hit both high and low simultaneously out of a normal blockstring, it's aight with me. Hard agree on the block button. Crossup protection in a 2d fighter is a plainly stupid idea, and I can't believe it was ever implemented to begin with.

I remember one guy saying it's satisfying if the inputs are hard but honestly I disagree since I mainly like seeing my character doing cool shit on the screen. I'm very happy with how well polished and beautiful the game is turning out, in addition to looking like a lot of fun. I'm looking forward to being able to test it! (I know it won't happen, but it would be interesting if we got a mobile version of the game, but we probably won't. I'm still looking forward to it)

I wouldn't put it past them to produce a mobile release. A _lot_ of people have a tablet and an old Xbox controller lying around. "Don't you guys have phones", except completely unironic.

I'm not saying Darius looks like the epitome of creativity, but at least I see some variety in his moves. Also the showcase isn't just Darius. Both Ekko and Jinx seemed like they did a lot more compared to Ahri's air combo. I think her balls will play a much bigger role in Ahri's final version, but so far I just don't enjoy seeing her juggle someone, while floating in the air. I know some people love that shit. I was simply saying that, in her current state, Ahri looks very boring to me.

I think a short/smaller character that is a heavy/bruiser would be dope asf conceptually, which is more than enough for me to want Poppy in the game, but I also love her design and big ass hammer

Looks so cool!! Would be awesome to be able to play 2v2 with friends, so 4 players with 2 on each team tagging in and out. MK9 had it and it's still the most fun I've had with a group playing a fighting game

I love Hachim Habchi’s art style and the Riot styles in general. Along with the influences of Disney artists. Looks so visually appealing and expressive.

I’m really impressed with how much they’ve achieved with this game. I just really hope that it has an easy learning curve. Kinda like smash and how you can still master the game at a non-competitive level.

I'm pretty confident it will be. Riot is known for exactly this, at least as far a game controls and such are concerned. League is extremely difficult to understand HOW to play, but the controls are very simple to understand, but some champions can have insane complexity with what you can do with them. Any other Riot game I've played has this same experience. Completely random thought, but it feels like just yesterday I remember watching the video where Riot announced their were going to creating a lot of new games in basically every genre based on the world of Runeterra. Now we have LoL, Valorant, Legends of Runeterra, Teamfight Tactics, Ruined King, and some Ziggs rhythm game. I think they an Ekko based platformer coming out soon too? Then there's this and their MMORPG coming out eventually. Regardless of the types of games you like to play I really love that Riot is taking the incredible lore they made and sharing it across as many game types as possible. The characters of Runeterra are what keep me interested in all these game updates.

@@chrisblair9272 Don’t compare league to smash, mate. League is not a simple game, whatsoever, and there is a fairly high skill ceiling as well as floor. You can’t just put anyone in a league game who’s never played before, and expect them to perform decently well.

@@greekfire7980 lmao what are you talking about? I never mentioned anything about smash in my comment. The controls for League are simple and some champions really easy too. I literally said its extremely difficult to learn HOW to play, which is why there are easy to learn champions. Some champions are crazy difficult to play, but not all. If you are looking to play ranked the learning curve is crazy. For casual players not so much, especially those who just spam ARAM. I never said someone could just immediately pick up the game and do decent. You are putting words in my mouth.
