I believe they said Katerina would NOT be a launch character due to the fact she was used to test all sorts of systems and mechnics. So much so that they would need to scrap her and restart. 😅

I want to add, the reason why they're called chromas instead of recolors is that some chromas in League actually change the model quite a bit or may add additional effects to the original skin. Some chromas are unlocked and tiered differently (grindable for reaching a certain level on the battle pass, free for reaching a certain rank on the leaderboards, awarded from collecting currency for playing the game, gacha / lootboxes, etc.) So them calling recolors as chromas might be more signs on how they plan to monetize the game.

Jinx is probably going to be revealed in November, when Arcane season 2 comes out. At least that's my guess. I just hope Vi will get in the main roster as well, because she is just the perfect fighting game character.

I mean skins would be easy just take the skins from league of legends and there you go. Also chroma is just a color skin pack that you could rock the skin you like but change the color palette for it.

Do you think 2xko will be a success and have a place among Riot's most played games? As long as it doesn't end up as a LoR and doesn't cause losses as a WR, I'm happy.

That's hard to say really. I believe it will do very well because having league characters that thousands and thousands of people like and people who like fighting games a the same time. The issue is the fighting game scene as a whole is generally not as popular as other types of games. Based on what I am seeing it has a similar style monetization and build up as Brawlhalla which is one of the most consistently played fighting games right now and that doesn't even have characters many people know so I think it will be one of the most popular fighting games in the scene, but you just never know.

@@nobuzilla Honestly I really hope that is the case. I like fighting games but it just seems like fighting games in general have a weaker outcome than most games. Multiversus almost had it with insanely huge start to the game but ruined it with terrible release. This game already looks way better than Multiversus lol.

@ShinOwen2 well if they stick to the brawlhalla method, you can play that game completely free and get every legend with just a grind. Anything that costs in that game is just skins and other things, you can play forever on that game and be completely free. Though if you play long enough and get attached you kind of want to buy something at some point lol

@TeaYenSvg ill just tell you, they said jinx is still in the works ands planning on being released "soon" but have no real date or anything. They said she's mostly complete but her attacks and combos felt weak and there looking to fix that first.

Which is fine. As long as I get to play the game for free, they can sell all the cosmetics, taunts, emotes etc. they want. They have to make a profit somehow. I'm happy as long as you can't buy any power up sort of item.

They announced their server based rollback 2 years ago in the first proper Project L video, called '2XKO (Formerly Project L) - RiotX Arcane: Epilogue | The Right Foundation'

Thats not what they're saying, like at all. The reason she's not MAIN ROSTER which means she's added year one probably is cause the way she worked when it was a 1v1 is way too different than now when its a 2v2. Also akali's pretty much confirmed and if i remember correctly she uses daggers too, might be wrong tho

Love when people just completely misunderstand what was said and just jump to conclusions from there. And just create this fantasy narrative all based on stuff it wasn't actually said... "She's too hard to make." yet in the preview roster you already have characters like Ekko with his teleports and different ways his abilities mesh with one another, as well as Yasuo with stances, or Illaoi... Nah these were easy, Katarian tho, too hard... bro. How can one reach this conclusion after listening to them explain how Katarina became a Frankenstein monster (basically a dummy character) because they just used her to introduce new mechanics to the game and test stuff, so much that she didn't have an identity. Katarina the champion never really existed, it was just a test dummy they used. So yes, for her to be included in the base roster she would have to be redesigned (or designed at all), it's not that she's hard. The only thing people saw of her was a 2 second clip of an animation. The team probably has other champions with bigger priority.

Well, from what it sounds is that they have been working on her but for some reason the hits/combos/details of her don't quite seem polished in some way that they don't want to release her until they get that figured out so they don't release a bad character that people don't like and then may think it's a bad game if they do too early.
