damn it looks good and sounds like heaven! i see you got a bigger alu maf pipe, where did you get that? i have made one for mine but the engine dont like it in the begining and when it does, it loose alot of power under 5k rpm..
@EnginesRMymusic8 ай бұрын
I might have an explanation for that. The MAF adapter has to be the exact same diameter as the original one which is 70mm. If you go bigger you’ll need a remap. I got mine from AliExpress. Look for : 70mm air flow sensor adapter Toyota Mazda Subaru Suzuki. Costs around €21. It should pop up. Good luck bro!

The gauge setup is beautiful! Looks so clean I never noticed it in your other videos. Not familiar with the car; what normally goes there?
@EnginesRMymusic8 ай бұрын
Thank you very much! It’s a custom made gauge cluster. Normally the radio goes there but in this car I don’t need a radio :D

Which engine mounts did you use or were they all custom made?
@EnginesRMymusic5 ай бұрын
@@antti4189 On the gearbox side I used a mix from both 2e and 2zz engine. No need for customization. On the timing side I used the original 2zz mount that needs to be welded/bolted to the chassis.(the stock AE92 mount needs to be cut out) Frontside a 2zz corolla mount and on the backside a Stock AE92 mount. The latter two need to be custom fitted and are the hardest to do properly but is doable if you have some cutting welding experience. Hope this helps.

I did answer some of your questions recently on this video (and on my other videos) Take a look at some of my reply’s. There is some helpful information. But I will help you some more but be patient. I’m busy atm. I will come back to your comment and share some more basic knowledge about this swap. I might even do a video about it. Tell me, what car do you want to swap the 2zz in?
@julianmonroe31585 ай бұрын
Hi i also have an ae92 doing a 2zz swap, how did u retain the factory gauge cluster?
@EnginesRMymusic5 ай бұрын
Not too big of a deal to wire the the original cluster. What part are we speaking of? Tacho and odometer or just in general?
@julianmonroe31585 ай бұрын
@@EnginesRMymusic both i have a 89 corolla gts and i want to retain the tac and the speedo, also did u use the body harness off of the 2zz? i just have the engine harness and ecu out of a tsunami edition gts
@EnginesRMymusic5 ай бұрын
@@julianmonroe3158 you need some third party hardware to make it work perfectly. Look up “Brantz BR3” you fit this device in between your mechanical speed cable. That way it gives you mechanical and digital speed signal output for the cluster and the ECU. For the tachometer, look up “tachobooster” this is a device that boost your RPM signal to a voltage that old tachometers can read. About the wiring Harness, I only used the 2ZZ engine wiring loom and adapted it to fit the body wiring loom. Not that hard to do honestly. Look up some 2zz wiring PDFs and also from the car you are trying to put the 2zz in. Hope this helps. Let me know if you need more information.

What radiator hoses did you use to keep your factory radiator, I haven't been able to find a set so I can install back my oe style radiator
@EnginesRMymusic8 ай бұрын
If I recall correctly I used a combination of hoses from both Corolla’s (E120&AE92) and connected them together with some adapters I ordered online to suit the diameter. It works fine like this but I’d like some new silicone hoses in the near future that I will custom fit. I’ll upload once that’s done.

@EnginesRMymusic8 ай бұрын
I’ll let you know if I figured it out. I thought maybe injectors too but in that case it must be only one injector that’s making the noise cause it ticks to slow for all of them to tick, if that makes sense. Thanks for your comment.

@@DimoS... sorry bro, I’ve been busy. Yesterday I left the engine running at idle from cold start and I noticed the ticking sound suddenly starten so I could listen and it sounds like it is indeed the vvti cam gear. The noise disappeared as quickly it came and I have not noticed it since. Does yours disappear too sometimes or is it always noticeable?
