It's awesome that they have such good customer service. I've been lucky so far. I haven't even had to adjust the chain on mine, and I've been riding it since last June...My luck could end, but the only thing I've had to do is wash it, charge it, and do one gear oil change..

I have obsessed over these and I have not heard much issues at all so this is awesome and knowing where this all started I'm no surprised they were really fast with replacement parts and support, love to hear this! And you are completely right, there is always gonna be something and you happened to be the unlucky one to get the lemon, if it was a common issue we would have heard it for sure! xD

The subject matter of this video is key to what will inevitably dictate which among the Ebike/emoto companies will survive. Service after the sale has made dealing with EBMX a winner for me. I'm happy to hear Stark is also focused on this aspect of their business model. Now if we could only get EBMX to build a bike in a different size class to compliment Stark.

The battery is a consumable for the Stark Warg. It's good that it can be changed under warranty, but it's not clear why the error can't be fixed.

We don’t all have a KZbin channel dedicated to e-bikes with 60k subscribers. Too many issues on this bike.
@federico2979 күн бұрын
I have a friend that has basically got the whole bike replaced piece by piece by stark (battery, vcu, wiring, powertrain, waterpump and 2 docking stations), and it doesn't have a 60k YT channel. So no, everyone gets the same treatment
@Offthevoltz9 күн бұрын
@ so everything goes wrong with these bikes. A lemon that you take care of under warranty is still a lemon. Would hate to own these after two years. With all those things have gone wrong with your friends bike it must have more down time than seat time.
@federico2979 күн бұрын
@@Offthevoltz yea, that bike was absolutely a lemon, now it's working flawlessly for months (thank god after replacing basically everything you would say, and i agree). Like every manufacturer, there are bikes born bad, and others without any flaws (i know guys with over 150 hours on their Varg with only regular maintenance), i myself had some minor issues due to my bike being an early frame number. I guess is just luck, but it's the same with every dirtbike

What did it take to get rid of the old battery? Was it a pain to find a place that would take it?
@steedu46gt9 күн бұрын
Damn I had one of these in my cart for awhile but the issues and 37.7 seat height really killed it for me. I would rather go ultra bee.

With 21/18 tires and a Torp controller, I been very happy and trouble free with 60 hours of run time on trails and track. I even raced a Hare Scramble and was tickled to pass clutch bikes struggling on steep hairpin trails.

@@ApexRR1u didn’t clarify which bike u mean… stark Varg or ultra bee?

I can see why you ran the Ultra Bee in your trail race test. Looking forward to the full review of the 25 UB updates.
@M3rwin69 күн бұрын
I have been considering buying a stark for months but my ultra bee with the Sirris suspension is so good i haven't pulled the trigger yet. The only benefit i see in the stark is the wheelbase but i am not sure it really matters with the type of riding i do. We will see

Tucker you said "18 miles one of the worst ranges achieved"..what's been your best on a regular trail ride?
@JoshStreetDesign9 күн бұрын
Tucker I've only ridden mine once on my private sand track and I only got 13 mi in 50 horsepower mode. I'm actually really worried about this bike is all I see are constant videos and comments in the chats about how many problems people are having with it and how many replacements they've already had to do. Thinking I should have kept my altar which I never had a single solitary problem with putting 250 hours on it.
@reeserides93719 күн бұрын
What were the issues you were having with the Stark phone? I am asking because during my last ride the phone kept losing connection with the bike. Then after the ride the phone would not connect at all Stark has now sent me two new Bluetooth modules and that has not fixed the issued. Wondering if your issues were similar. Thanks Tucker.

yeah ofc its going to have some problems and need replacements every once in a while, because, yo know... its pushing like 55KW THOUGH ELECTRONICS SMALL ENOUGHT O FIT IN 1 HAND. only morons who know nothing about electrical engineering claimed that it would be perfect with zero maintenance (which ironically ended up being most ebike youtubers lol). however its not terrible on reliability and it is their first model too, iv heard that stark gives people with and without a large youtube channel the exact same treatment, and out of all the ebik brands in the world stark made the BEST, highest quality, and most consistent quality control bike ever WHILE keeping it all first world development, no chinese slave or child labour all for a fair price. its an amazing bike and the test of time predicted exactly what us electrical engineers expected, its not perfectly reliable but even with that in mind its still a great bike.
@Chris.Lester8 күн бұрын
Perfectly said I cant stand all the ignorant idiots saying “poorly made junk” at one or two parts getting replaced ITS A BIKE they need parts thats how it is at least stark stands by their product and helps no questions asked plus a lot less parts you’d replace than if a gas dirt bike blows up the motor
