Poor baby why is he so puffed up like that? I never seen an owl do that before he was huge i thought he was grown when he puffed up.and got big is that a normal response from an owl to get puffy even though people was trying to help it? Im sorry ion understand can someone explain to me

yes, as a defense mechanism, owls (and tons of other birds) will puff up or "mantle" their wings to make themselves appear larger than they really are! they do this if they feel threatened as a way to intimidate would-be predators. even though the humans in this situation are helping the owl, it doesn't understand it's being helped, so it puffs itself up and starts clicking its beak to seem threatening.
