Note on finest samples: as an occultist which disables enemy health regeneration, this may be worth taking. By far the biggest factor towards making metamorph tanky is their life regeneration and it might make the 150% more life more bearable.

I never understood the bulk buying thing in PoE given that it works the opposite IRL (you buy in bulk = you get a discount) until I actually tried buying/selling stuff normally and saw what cancer the trade system in the game is.

Lol, I think everybody has that same thought progression on that topic. Just goes against everything we've heard our entire lives, if mentioned. Bulk=cheaper to the consumer. Only real world examples that match this bulk=more expensive, are like national companies upgrading their stores, easier to negotiate 1 contract for 100 locations, vs 100 contracts with 100 different contractors. Thus adding a metric ton of travel expense to the bid, usually double almost triple what a local contractor would charge. #2, Rich people will pay extra for someone else to deal with the headache, like a General Contractor to hire each trade, to remodel their home/office

In both poe and real-world money=time, so it should in theory make bulk buying more expensive, but in poe, things don't degrade (like food) or get outdated (like technology), so the push to sell stuff quickly too is diminished. that's just my take on it, I'm no economist and quite broke irl lol.

@@rainie_876 That is exactly it. In real life sellers want to move product faster, and it's more cost efficient to sell items in bulk. This is true in PoE as well, as a seller selling all my items in one go is better than doing several individual trades, but the buyers incentive to get the trade done quickly is even bigger, as buying in PoE is a bigger hassle than selling. As a seller, you can generally choose when you want to sell, and don't need to sell to progress, but a buyer needs to buy as fat as possible to keep their time efficiency, especially if their progression is tied to buying an item.

If PoE had an auction house it would be the opposite, but because we have to actually message people and hope they answer and doing that 50 times is awful... Buying 50 at once is worth the extra you pay.

@@JayBigDadyCy That's why Chinese PoE is a bit better, it has an auction house and tries to listen to the players. Kinda insane Tencent wants to satisfy players while GGG wants to force their outdated vision onto the players.

I started doing this start a bit last night (before seeing this video) and can confirm Finest Sample is a bit rough. I can clear a map in a minute or two but then the metamorph takes like 2-4min on its own if it has a lot of aoe to dodge and heavy life regen. I ran a short test of ten rusted scarabs (at 1c ea) and then Deadly twins prophecies (at 1c ea also) for a 20c investment. Ran my ten maps on tier around T8-T10 and actually ended up making several exalts. Note that I only had three passives on the atlas so I did all six metamorph nodes and no essence, so if I had those and was running red maps I probably would have even made a lot more. Either way I was able to get ym off color Wildwrap so I'm happy. Planning on going to Valdo's to do Blight next since I've always loved that content (even if it seems to not payout as well as other mechanics like Delirium and Heist)

Thanks for this. I've been running mm scarabs since forever. Never even considered juicing it harder. Polished are profit on any red map. Been running your way for an hour now an it's way better. The double boss for two sets of samples is nuts.

I mentioned it in my other comment but Deadly Twins prophecy pretty much guarantees you can make two monsters and they are super cheap. Can also look out for map modifier contains two bosses.

@@Mipzhap idk, kinda sorta. Obviously you can't control all variables and release the same video at same time with the red border and non red border. But you certainly can pay attention to your normal view count if that's a reliably steady number and see a red border video performing under average. Which might indicate what I'm suggesting. But simply put no, A/B testing isn't probably possible, but I would think having that mindset might help get to the bottom of that.

I did very interesting ''find''. I did about 50 acid cavern (t16) maps and I didn't found any screaming essence of scorn/envy/misery/dread to upgrade with remnant of corruption. Other maps was fine but acid caverns didn't give any. It can be just bad luck, but I highly doub it???

Yeah, flipping fossils is an easy way to make money. Just a short story, league when Sirus appeared, wanted a savior. Played since 2011, and at MOST I had like 10ex in liquid currency per league. Savior was like 24ex at that time. Decided I wanted to buy the savior, and just flipped currency for like 2 days. Bought some fossils for like 2-3c, and sold them in bulk for 8c. And the bulk would be like 5 fossils or 8, not 50. As you can see, it was easy easy money. You just needed to trade a lot, and to watch the market, as prices change easily... which is important when flipping.

I play on console. Bulk selling isn't as big of a deal with the trade board. Still a helpful video. I havent made it into red tier maps yet due to life restrictions with availability to play.

Need some help, pls ! I love the Essence, Metamorph maps I do, but I rly dont know what to do against dying nearly at the same time as the metamorph boss, or short after him - due to a invisible ground degen ? My nearly 6k life are gone in app. 2 seconds and I have no idea what to do anymore. +50 chaos res on my char which is not perfect, but if thats chaos degen it should never happen that fast. I hope Palsteron or somebody else can help me on that, because this seems like the only way I can die atm, and I hate it.

For maps do I chisel to 20% and alch go? Are vaaling/sacrificial frag on map device not worth? Also sextant for increasing mob size not worth it? Just get the essence from sextant blocking?

For the essences, do you upgrade them to a certain tier then sell? I'd imagine to at least screaming? Going to give this strat a go as I play seismic trap and metamorphs should be a breeze. Thanks for the vid!

Every map boss has it's own distribution of which organs can drop from it. So if you are dropping too much of one organ, just go farm a different map.

This is why I like doing this on Acid Caverns, because there are multiple bosses in the warband and the game chooses two so you wind up with a near perfect distribution of parts over time.

"using normal ones" means the watchstones you get from the campaign that have no additional benefits. "using alts" means you buy a watchstone and craft it with orb of alterations to get a good mod. Anything that gives you benefits to essences/metamorphs is good!

im losing profit doing this strategy. its 15c investment per map. canyon in bulk 7c each + prime sextant 2c+remannt of corruption in bulk 2c per map + 3c essence map device then in return barely making 5-10c per map sometimes losing . most of the 'deafening' sell for 1-2 c now. unless im doing something really wrong this is pointless
