The point on uniques is the best argument I've heard. And as far as #5 (capping) goes, I think as long as you add it to the character sheet alongside resistances it will get discovered by the majority of players

I think GGG should double the rarity and quant rolls/values from the atlas tree, maps, etc and then remove all rarity stats from rolling on gear. That way if you have a better build you are naturally getting better items rather than being forced to walk a thin line between rarity and itemization.

Na, sorry. Gave up on warrior especially after trials. If game had no trials then I could see myself playing but my talents gated behind trials especially the sekimas honor one and the curses you randomly get its just awful as melee. Tried playing with minus 25 percent speed and every mechanic in game hit me. Tried totem and a molten build, both felt awful especially since the whole pausing to cast thing exists. Best warrior build one you have to use block? have to use energy shield? Game is just broken. Ill come back when they fix it.

In a game where the sole reason to keep grinding is to find more and better items, having a stat that literally gives you more loot is such a joke. Stats should complement your character and build, helping you achieve more loot through gameplay, not just directly give you loot. It makes NO SENSE. This is a classic problem from an old game where it was trash even back then, but people keep bringing it back for "tradition" or whatever. I've seen many games adopting garbage mechanics from old classics just because. NO. They didn’t know better at the time-it was creative and innovative back then-but that time is long gone. Nowadays, developers should be smart enough to recognize those mechanics weren’t good to begin with. We just dealt with them because we had no other choice.

Think also rarity needs to go, especially in this testing phase early release. Why? Because we arent testing gear that doesnt have rarity. I would guess out of all people in waystone phase 90% are running rarity on every piece that can have it. No uniques used if they dont have rarity, it kills the building fun. Bad for testing.

I accidently divined a white trying to do this. When i clicked it i realized it didnt poof and looked the same i went back and checked and it was a divine and no chance orb. Thankfully it was just 1, but i was holding shift ready to click more.

Just figured this out last night 😭 got a +2 to melee skills on my staff and my sustain bottomed out. Wild how such a small thing can totally screw up your build. Definitely need to work on that

Personally I’d rather they just keep adding spells and classes before they bother with balance. A single new support can disrupt the entire meta so spending dev time on balance seems like a misuse when so much is missing.

Throughout the decades I’ve been playing games one of the most common issues, and one that feels the worst is when you push and finally defeat a top tier boss, level, raid etc and then the loot that drops is trash or is the same that drops in other content. When you beat the hardest content you should get rewarded with better drops than you can get from lower power stuff. It gives people something to work towards, and gives a reward for grinding and overcoming the challenge. Magic find could work fine, but it should be like and enchant or something. It should be additional not that you have to sacrifice stats for it.

in my opinion rarity is fine , the only issue i have with it , is the way it interacts with converting gold into items , this should be tied to monster level not rarity imo

Why not make rarity a corrupted affix? It'd be hella exciting to corrupt an item and end up getting rarity, and it wouldn't scuff our builds

Great job, again. Remove it from gear is the only way to go IMHO, too. And people who think you can not get enough loot without it are just wrong. Played a map/waypoint with my friend yesterday, where we just had 4 overlapping towers with quantity on it. That alone gave us over 60% quant, put in a 6-10 mod map/waypoint with 20%+ quantity and like 100% rarity and extra rare mobs, and in the end this map had 40% more rares from delirium implicit on top of it. Then your Atlas scales up the prefixes and you get an unplayable map (like in POE 1). After the first completed BREACH in the map, we had to rewrite our ULTRA-STRICT lootfilter ! We where only able to clear the map after we DISABLED ALL ITEMS from the filter and only show currency. Yes it was a 10+ BREACH map and we had 4 inventory full of currency and we both had NO ITEM RARITY on our gear ! So yes, the game allready gives us so many ways to get quantity + rarity in our maps/waypoints that we dont need this stupid stat on our items at all.

I'm a new POE2 player and still learning how to maxed out my gear for higher tier map But problems i encounter when I'm trying to upgrade my gear by "crafting" where i have to burn exalted orbs to see the next stats only to see it's a bad stat. Trading now costs are so high that I'm unable to get a better gear for my character advance higher map. i really like the rarity item because it works for me. 1) i am having super bad luck with RNG, where i don't get good loot to upgrade my gear 2) i don't have enough currencies dropped for me to upgrade current gear most of the time EG : exalted orbs, until i equip myself with rarity find 100% total. without rarity to get exalted orbs, how am i going to get better gear to upgrade myself or to "craft" to see the next stats of the gear i picked up? Global chat kept telling me to get upgrade for my gear to go higher map, content creator telling people which OP build they are using but those gear they are using cost a lot but without currencies how am i going to upgrade or go to higher map? I think people who says rarity are bad it's because they are not in the same "group" who are bad with RNG like me, they are blessed with good drops for loot or currencies. Even with 100% rarity, i still did drop a Divine Orbs for me though but it does give slightly higher amount of exalted orbs for me to save up for an upgrade.

I can't remember the name of the KZbinr, but someone put out a video yesterday or day before about their farming Strat. Haven't tried it myself as I didn't want to replace both my ventor's rings. But he was saying he has no rarity and only plays 4 or 5 hours per night, and still gets a couple divs and 80-100 ex in that 4 hours. Sounded like he was running pretty much the same atlas tree you showed, but I think his main thing was just farming breach and anointing all his waystones for rare mobs. Edit: went back in my history and looked, it was Warlug that put out that video. Titled something like "atlas currency Strat"

Nah. Making decision is the lifeblood of looter games. Sacrifice power for more magic find is a good mechanic. It's just horribly imbalanced right now. If you take no magic find, your character should be stronger and able to do more difficult content that heavy magic find characters can't do or at least can't do efficiently. That's not the case in PoE2. Just take all the MF you can get and 1 shot the hardest content in the game. There's no decisions. No trade offs. Balance that aspect and it's fine.

8:14 when I use ball lighting + lightning warp, I use boots with no move speed. It was literally a divine to get boots that were ALMOST as good as my boots, except with 30 move speed. And the boots without move speed cost me 2 ex
