Do you think a viable strategy would be to use the crafts that allow you to upgrade scarabs, offerings, etc and sell stuff like augment/non-blue to green/reforge keep suffix? Or are you better off using the augments/reforges?

While I truly appreciate your currency making strategy videos, people should start to realise that strategies are only truly profitable if either very few people know about them, or it's high barrier to entry - which kinda goes against the kind of videos you're trying to make. If you want to get currency, you dont copy the strategy but you learn how to develop/come up with a strategy that as you said not many people do ;-) What you should take away from this kind of videos is the concept of how to develop a strategy.

Friend, literally everyone knows about earning through harvest from the moment it was added to the game. It's not a secret for a long time, and this video just repeats what has already been said before. Interestingly, for all this time, this method has not lost profitability

@@darkwinged249 That is why I said that profitable methods either has to be not well known OR have a high barrier to entry - Harvest crafting falls into the latter, as the actual profitable harvest crafting methods which nets "100 exalts in a day" is somewhat gated behind high cost bases and/or the ability to predict and follow the meta builds to craft accordingly, and most people watching these videos have no currency or enough experience with meta crafting to begin these kind of strategies. For example, crafting influence rings for curse on hit was very profitable the first 2 days of the league, then when everyone started doing it. the profit you were able to do from this tanked by more than 50% in a matter of hours. It was easy and bases was cheap, so it had low barrier to entry. Low level heist farming was very profitable in prior leagues, and it was easily viable to make 20-30 ex in the first few days. This league it was public knowledge for all who was seeking to make early currency, and the efficiency of the strategy tanked in return. It was easy and had a very low barrier to entry. Of course harvest crafting is and will always be profitable, and everyone knows it, but if you expect to craft the same cluster jewel as every other player looking to make money is crafting, and make good profit from it, I have bad news for you. Again, I fully support the idea of giving the average player the information on how to make currency, but if people expect to apply the same strategy to the tee, they will be most disappointed in the outcome. As soon as a low barrier, easy accessible method becomes public knowledge, it is no longer as profitable as it was for the people who used the method prior. That is why I'm saying that people should see these videos as guidelines and figure out their own strategies, applying the experience and information gathered from other players, not copy/paste the strategy as it will not net the profit expected.

@@Retarjoe After playing POE for more than 6500 hours, I came to one conclusion. People can't farm everything at the same time. Conditionally, if some method of earning is popular, then this is compensated by another method that loses this popularity. As a result, if you really want to earn a lot (it always works and will always work), then you just need to go to POENINJA and see what things are expensive. Next, you need to understand why these things are expensive, and how difficult it is to get them. Often there is a situation when something is expensive simply because the content itself is not popular, and not because of the entry threshold or something like that. Of course, activities like a simulacrum (in which all kinds of things fall out at once) spoil this philosophy a little, but in general it is relevant for any game and any economic system.

Also another reason why the rich get richer is because investments are rewarded. Doing 7ex mega juiced maps return profits which is a bigger ROI than alch and go. So for the same time I do my T16 alch and go, a rich person can do a 7ex map and make 10ex back. An interesting idea I heard is that in the future money will be pegged to energy. Like in many sci fi games, energy is the store of wealth since it has utility. Similar to PoE, exalts are used in high end meta crafts and chaos are used in Zana. Currency having utility is also why PoE does not see hyper inflation like most games, since the money is being burnt at a high rate by mappers and crafters and Yolo slams.

Honestly, players that complain about not being able to make currency in this game either a) Have legit just started and don’t yet know what are good strats to stick with until profitable (i.e. stay efficient to see profits) or b) Do NOT put in the time. No play, no Ex. Simple (once you are actually employing said legit strat). I’ve only got 2 1/2 seasons under my belt and so am fairly certain that the bulk of ‘I can’t make any currency!’ cries are from newer players that legitimately have not absorbed enough of PoE yet to be able to focus on and capitalize on, realizing some of the good initial currency generating strats. I was in that boat until half way through my second season (as a somewhat casual player). To be fair, it is a comprehensive and complicated game WITHOUT considering the trade economy aspect. A newer player doesn’t have the luxury to even somewhat understand the evolving economy over the course of a season or how patch changes affect what is and is not meta.
