As a new player I just want to say thank you for putting all this together and being as detailed as you were. The number of times I've asked friends for help learning PoE's crafting/systems only to be told to "figure it out" was almost to the point I stopped playing. Watching this video actually taught me enough to start exploring different things on my own without me thinking I'm screwing up everything I do. Eternally grateful - some random guy on the internet.

I'm glad you stuck with it! It's a great game - Steep learning curve but really worth it. RF is still my favorite skill after 9+ years, and nobody does it better than Pohx.

Every time I want to pick up PoE again, five minutes into looking for builds or guides I'm always intimidated by the sheer complexity of everything. I bookmarked Pohx website because I was told "it can't get much more hand-holding" than his Righteous Fire Juggernaut build guide. It still seems overwhelming on first look, I'm just such a filthy casual lol

Are you fucking jocking ? For new players ? A new player need to watch a guy talking 5 fucking hours about a single guide to start playing a fucking game ? Poe is dead, noone can start it now, 700 gems, 1300 items, 1500 skill tree points. And I don't talk about the annointments, enchants, atlas skills point. A new player has litterally to cross 15000 mechanics, items, skills, to find something workable.

APPLESAUCE! Thanks for this vid, I was not new to PoE but I was looking for an easy guide to finally be able to go over tier 4-5 maps and this was perfect. The part I liked the most about leveling this build was that it felt like a journey, starting really weak with terrible damage and awkward skill (rolling magma) untill becoming an (almost) immortal god that destroys anything that comes even remotely close to his aura. What an amazing feeling and amazing run!

As I don't want to do Rolling Magma again I tested for some alternatives and will go for Ethereal Knives as leveling skill this time. Pathing through "Born to Fight" and buying a Rustic Sash is an easy 45-50% increased damage early on for Ethereal Knives and Flame Totem. Also its a shorter route to the Fire mastery which allows you to pick up Diamond Skin for the same points. You don't have to mule gems (but you can if you want as Arcane Surge and Flamewall can still be useful), you don't need intelligence gear early on as stat requirements are lower on Ethereal Knives and Versitality is providing enough stats on its own and you can use your Added Fire Damage Support and War Banner with Ethereal Knives. If you find the crafting components you can do the "Wand + Whetstone + Chain Belt" vendor recipe for some more spell damage. As in 3.21 you get Faster Attacks Support already at level 8, I will probably run a shield for Shield Charge instead of dual wands. This also takes you easily into Act 2 for the switch to Righteous Fire.

This video sure was an APPLE SAUCE of a time. Sat through the whole thing but I only have 500 hours on PoE so it took me 3 days of "casual" leveling to get to maps. I gotta say, sir, this is the best and most in-depth guide I have ever seen in this game. I'm usually a typical elementalist slut, but this changed me into a big tanky daddy enjoyer. Favourite part of leveling has to of been just being able to step away for 5 mins in the middle of 3-4 blue packs and come back with rings and currency at my feet. I hope you keep doing this guide for the foreseeable future because now all I want to play is RF Jugg.

I'm really glad you made this guide, I started playing PoE a couple leagues ago, I only play hardcore but I struggle a lot getting through the acts and I usually die when I get to yellow maps, then I get kinda mad because I died and I drop the game until the next season xD! I find PoE to not be beginner friendly at all, it is a LOT to take in, but this guide just spoon feeds a lot of important info that even I got through all the acts without much effort. I still have a couple questions about the build and I'm not sure on what to do now but I'm sure i'll find that out soon enough (or die a terrible death xd). So thanks again for making this, it was incredibly helpful, I'd also like to mention that you seem like a genuinely nice and chill person and I'll make sure to watch your streams now and then. Almost forgot to say apple sauce!

On the 1st boss guy the phantasms and totem taunt for you so they will soak it up as long as you keep totem up when Brutus kills it. Also on league start you do not want to identify any of the blues only until Act 2 because you will have no transmutation orbs then and only orbs of alteration. You can just vendor all blues you find except for boots for movement speed or 3L items with correct color sockets. This will save you a lot of scrolls of wisdom and as soon as you hit Act 2 then just ID the yellow rare items and they will sell for alteration orbs faster than the blue ones and you wll eventually get an even amount of transmutes and alteration because you never ID blues and only ID rares in act 2 and the rares also give you more mats my default so that's how it's made equal. It's more a QOL feature but what it is good for is having a lot of transmute orbs in Act 1 to buy any extra support gems you may need. 3rd EDIT: I was just thinking what if you store up all the yellow drops in Act 1 and don't ID them until Act 2 so this way you will have lots of alteration orbs when you do and you can just collect wisdom scrolls mean time. Instead just vendor all Non ID blues all the time and all the rare collection could get you faster currency by 2nd act. Just a thought.

Applesauce! Thx so much for this video! I tried PoE 2 times and it was just too overwhelming. Now with D4 in the state it is in I was desperate enough to give it another try. People said first playthrough would be best if someone took you by the hand and showed you how to play. It was tough to unterstand how the PoB and the game mechanics work even with this guide, so holy hell this game is complex... Last time I tried PoE it was with a written guide only and I didn't understand a word. Now with the video everything was managable and very fun. The campaign was an incredible enjoyable experience for me thanks to the content you provided. Thx so much 4 that!

Applesauce. As a brand new player and D4 refugee, my favorite part of the build has to be thorough build and leveling guides, as well as how easy it is to get help for this build in discord as many people are aware of the build. While it isn't perfect (even somewhat close to perfect beginner resources seem non-existent), it's the closest and most comprehensive build guide I've found and had the easiest time with as a complete beginner.

Derusting with it today but looking forward to league starting! Thanks!

For those following along with the video confused as to why they seem to be missing two skill points: Phox doesn't allocate Elemental Resistances and Diamond Skin that the PoB says to take at level 17-31. For 3.21!Phox that isn't quite that relevant since he doesn't have the 3.22 Skill mastery. Whereas those of us in 3.22 onwards will due to it being a flat 25 life regen per second.

very useful, thanks! I have played poe for a long time but have taken a break for a couple years. I was kind of overwhelmed by all the new systems. Your videos have helped a lot!

The part that impressed me the most was that hillock only swings to the left. Have never ever noticed this minor but really useful detail

Apple sauce, just incredible guide. I learned so much more about the game overall, not just RF Jugg. It's amazing to run through a map with full movement speed.

Thank you for all the valuable information in a very entertaining package. :) Helped a ton with understanding your thinking while leveling and made my playthrough a lot more fun.

One thing I noticed (I’m brand fucking new) I may have missed it but if you haven’t unlocked that hideout yet you have to go through Vallis to do it and accept that quest from the lady in town! I didn’t know that so I was like damn where do I forge these rings at!

I'm a complete beginner. I didn't even know you could finish Acts 1-10 in under 6 hours before this video, damn

amazing guide man. You also look so calm, comfortable, ur voice is somehow satysfying.... i like you as a streamer and you are surely also great person. I totally hate copying builds, but this league Im running RF, just because I want to appretiate effort you put into it. Great job!

applesauce - My favourite thing about levelling as RF is that I got to watch ~6 hours of content from a creator who I hadn't watched in about 5 years. Got the ARPG itch after trying out Diablo 4, came back to good ol' faithful poe to play some hardcore crucible :D

Applesauce I tried to get into Poe twice but i never got further than Act 3. I am playing for 2 days and i am in Act 9 close to do maps, your guide not only helped me build the character but having such a good way to explain it to us helped me to comfortably learn more about the game, my favourite thing about this build is shield charge hahaha, zoom zoom zoom, thanks man.

I am a brand new player and Crucible is my first league. Your guides are so detailed and easy to understand! I leaguestarted as a Storm Brand Inquisitor and even though that guide was great, I don't necessarily think it was super new player friendly. With my second go through the campaign as RF Jugg I feel like an unstoppable god! Thank you for all of your hard work and in depth explanations. I just can't say enough good things. Subbed!
