i dont stream, i have a normal job, i play as much i can of POE when a new season is out. I don't love POE, only reason is because i have 2 hours a day, and following a guide can be pretty hard when i can't farm the currency like many others. When that is said, i still have spent over 480$ over the lifetime of POE and i got a key for free, but that was AFTER i bought the supporter pack for 30$. So i gave my free key away to a friend, because he gave me 200 divines in poe last league, and that gave me a chance to get a mageblood for the first time in my life.

I purchased the wrong MTX set once, when I was between two different ones. I email their support, and in less than 10 minutes they swapped them without any issue. AMAZING customer service. GGG is hands down the best dev team out there.

I think this is what a lot of people dont understand about the game, this isn't something that you have to pay for to play. You DO NOT need to pay for the early access. The early access is just the extra on top of the cosmetics that you're paying for.

I live in Brazil, where the minimum wage is about R$36 to R$47 per day. If they did a direct conversion, the game would cost around R$180, but thankfully they reduced the price to R$80. Just an example, I don't know how much the "D-like" game costs in the US, but here, with a 40% discount, is R$138.

Also what people don’t understand is that these supporters packs will be there all year around and you can start off with the $30 one and upgrade to next one when you have the money. You don’t have to get the most expensive one at first. And they only release those ones specifically yearly. So basically if you can save $40 a month you can buy them every year. And remember you get the same amount of money spent in game credits.

I always say the same, POE is only one game where for some reason I never ever regretted spending money. Maybe it is trust in developers that my money is spend to improve game. Maybe because I myself want my character to look cool, maybe because I feel that microtransactions is not forced on me like in other games. But how I say, 0 regret.

im a long time player and i feel the same, but also i live in Argentina and GGG made regional pricing and for that i bought the highest i can afford and im so happy to be able to contribute to the game. There is a lot of people like us

I have a similar level of appreciation. Recently I was locked out of my main Microsoft account and lost YEARS worth of characters and probably a mortgage in mtx. I’ll get it back in 30 days but what did I do, ofc I made an alt, and bought the $150 pack cause I’ll be damned if I miss this game. Fuck Rod.

league reward costumes are somewhat cooler to me, i only pay for the gamba chests for fun and support, not expecting anything tbh, they'll sit in my stash another 10 years untouched. I'm glad we have such a beautiful game

I look at it like this: Their monetization model has allowed them to crank out the best looking ARPG in the history of the genre so clearly something worked. Warframe is the same way. Their monetization model works extremely well and has allowed them to deliver good free updates for 12+ years now.

Path of Exile has always had a fantastic monetization method. I played the game since release. Yes they have received more money than most gaming companies from me. Why? I have been playing the game 11 years. I used to be a single dude. I had disposable income. It went to support a game that let me play for free... Twenty here 100 there. GGG made a true gem. I want them to succeed because they care about the player.

What i noticed (what no one discussed yet): The breach rings are not corrupted.

Didnt buy a supporter pack or a stash tab until roughly 1200 hours into the game. Sat there thinking one night, god damn this game got a lot of hours out of me, money is tight but i instantly slapped down $60 cause they deserved it. since then bought a few because yeah, they keep making a great game and my playtime at this point is just escalating (currently sat at 4858 hrs). They deserve every penny. PoE2 will likely get a lot of time from me as well.

I wish I had enough to spend that much man... but my rent is 1300€ 😭 For now, a key must suffice. The devs are doing a great job, and my appreciation for them got to a new level watching the recent Q&A with Ziggy. I just love how much thought they put into everything and how they consider the players when thinking about how they want to do the stuff. This is gonna be the best of all the games combined into one game. I'm hyped af, got vacation planned, I'm gonna be all comfy and play until my arms fall off

Pohx. I registered an account with GGG back in 2013. Like a lot of people, I tried the game after D3, looked at the passive tree and then immediately logged out. Fast forward to 2023 (I believe at the end of Crucible League), after the disappointment that was D4, I decided to give PoE a real shot. I came across your channel and RF was my first ever proper build. Needless to say, I was hooked. I deeply regret giving Blizzard £90 for the Ultimate Edition, however I enjoyed PoE so much that I decided to buy the $480 at the time to show my support. I was going back and forth with this decision as it's a large sum of money (for us normal people anyway) but it was 100% worth it. Since then, I've been buying one of the quarterly supporter packs and $480 each year. Like yourself, as soon as I watched the EA reveal I immediately bought the $480 without even thinking twice. So thank you, and GGG.

RF and flicker made me play POE love so much if they add at POE 2

Up to now you paid GGG only if you chose so willingly and I always respected that. I bought my fair share of stash tabs for POE1 I am not a freerider. With the PO2 early access this unwritten rule is broken. You NEED TO PAY in order to play the early access, that is a NONO for me and GGG will not see my $$$ that is for sure. GGG pulled a big Blizzard with this policy. (As a matter of fact dont the POE1 stash tabs carry over to POE2?)

I've supported them enough in the past that I got a free early access key, but I've hit a turbulent period in the last few months so I'm sad that I'm not in a position to support the game on launch. I will get that hoodie, but I'm making sure my bills are paid first lmao

I really appreciate the fact that with the 30 dollars pack you get 300 points, exactly like you'd buy separately 300 points for 30 dollars, I appreciate that the points are exact no discount, 10 dollars 100 points. I can apreaciate the fact that they give us the early access for 30 dollars only. These are the upsides, the big ones at least Now the downsides. The FOMO is huge with the 100 dollars one, the flying thing is huge in poe 1 and it's clear that they want us to buy it, I don't care for cosmetics at all, not in poe hugely because I don't really like the art style in poe 1 and don't like it in poe 2 also, I play POE 1 because of the gameplay and I will try poe 2 but the art style is not great, the graphics is good but the art is, idk, too fantasy. A lot of people are very turn off by a free to play game, and we know why, all are shit or pay2win, maybe an upfront price is better for this type of game, I can understand that poe 1 is free 2 play because they wanted to be popular but I can't understand why not buy to play the second one. I'm trying to convince some friends to give it a try but when they hear free2play is off from the start.
