[3.24] Back to Basics - T17 Scarab + Divination Farm - Scarabs📉Mirrors📈

In this video, I showcase a map using my new Scarab and Divination farm strategy. This strategy came about because scarabs prices have fallen substantially since I have posted many scarab only farms over the past week. This lead to me diversify my currency making.
Always Running:
Curation & Completion Scarabs (For the Mirrors)
Other 2 Scarab Slots:
Bloodlines = 100%+ More Loot
Glittering = 57% More Loot (Non MF)
Divination = 40% More Loot (150% More Div)
Glittering = 21% More Loot (Full MF)
Hunted Traitor = 20% More Loot
Preservation = 0% More Loot (Depends on Scarab Prices)
For map rolling, since scarabs are only 35-50% of the profit, we don't really care if scarabs are a 140%+ roll. Ideally, I roll my maps to 140% quant, 70% pack size, and 100% scarab, which is roughly a 1 in 150 chaos chance, but like my other strategies, your character needs to be able to do a vast majority of map mods.
While this farm is currently roughly the same profit as a full scarab farm, I believe in a few days, it will be more profitable due to scarab price trajectory.

I ran a 30 map test to get a better sample size of strat and I dropped a Fiend stack, seven year stack x2, single apothecary, and brother's gift x5 (with 106% gear quant). The strategy has high variance compared to a full scarab strat, but should be more profitable as the league goes on and mirrors get more valuable. More detail in description.

The pathfinder version of spark is expensive. I have a budget spark link in the description by another content creator if you want to make a non mageblood or original sin spark build.

Do you know if replacing native mobs with all flame mobs can have a negative impact on drop rates? Wretched Defiler does stupid damage so I've been replacing it with random all flame mobs with decent pack size, shouldn't matter right?

Shouldn't matter. Lot of mobs types are pretty deadly in T17s.

Right. The non legacy version is slower and a bit less dmg, but can do all same content.

This farm is super endgame for roughly mirror tier characters. If you are 20 atlas points short, I would do different farm. Yes, you should always kill boss.

@@toasty22554 What I would say is that you can't really fully tank T17 mods. Its more about being able to offscreen mobs while building a character that counters map mods. like being immune to curses. or having life or mana gain on hit. etc

IDK. In standard, the other scarabs are 20 div. Preservation is 10 div. In that scenario, worth preservation.

Here to ask the pertinent question : Why a point into Harbinger scarabs ? Not that I'm delusional enough to think I can run this, however the " scarab and map " farming trees have a lot in common and " increased harbinger scarabs," is not a commonality. I've always wanted to play a high end sparker, probably won't be this league though. I guess original sin is the only chaos sparker now that they bricked ashes + alt quality spark ?

great build man, i wanted to build a spectral shield throw build in std and selling my TS which feels really bad in T17 even tho its a 20 mirror build , do you have any recommendations ? pob guide or something? or any tanky skill i should go for with ranger class?( i want a MF char)

I don't think spectral shield throw has great clear. I think its good all around build that doesn't excel in 1 thing.

I run t17 on ts mf gear: get a legacy taste of hate + reduced crit implicit cloack of flame + chaos res cap With 30M dps thats enough for me

Depends what league you are in and what the scarab prices are at the time. It would most likely be dropping preservation for glittering.

1. No mf needed. 2. idk, this strat works best with both 3. roll 70 pack size and 100 scarab on each t17 map 4. if your build can offscreen kill things, it can do it

T17 maps are hard. I haven't tested the mob count of each t17 map. if mob count is same, then same div card drops.

I'm not sure how fast some people farm t17s, but if you have a really fast build and run 8 mod t16s in less than 75 seconds, you can get like 15-20 per hour.

I've run 10 maps with this strat in the league. Only significant things I got were 1 Curation scarab, a Stack of Seven Years Bad Luck, a Stack of Fortune, and one Voldo's Box. I did not have any quant on gear but I followed the rest of the advice and used Bloodlines, Curation, Completion, and Preservation. I've also attempted to run in a 3-way group for 5 maps with no improvement in drops. It feels like unless you use MF (and even then) this is a risk of a huge loss, I don't think this method is worth it, especially in-league. My sample size isn't significant, statistically, but I don't want to put more currency on it.

With preservation scarabs at 4 div and maps at .5 div in league roughly when I published, you should be profiting. The bulk of this farm is in mirror card drops or mageblood card drops, so small sample size on average will lead to lower profit. You also need very very very well rolled maps. 70% packsize and 120+ scarab or 55% packsize 180% scarab.

I ran 4 maps with those scarabs and setup and I didn't drop a single good divination card, that's really horrible considering the insane price to run these maps, that's too much of a gamble, relying on extremely rare lucky drops to break even or do some profit.
