It's worse because the Necromancers Bone Armour ascendency option is "boned", because it's NOT a skill gem so it can't even be socketed. Most Necros that use it have it on left click as their guard skill. If they don't take it they take Immortal call or Molten shell.

I never ever liked bone armour. That skill should be its own gem with a minion and a guard tag that gives absorb depending on level and scales off minion life. Given that necros starve on sockets and hotkeys, this change is a straight up nerf.

So now I can use ALL guard skills at once? Double brand recall? Auto corrupting cry? good There is a skillgem for detonating mines, so it can work with automation. In poe2 you will still be moving with WASD anyway, so there is no point to left in as it is.

just going by what they said in the video it sounds like you can bind something to left click if you dont use one of those gems. they just dont want you to do both, have something bound to left click and the autocast from the gem. imo i think gameplay as is is till going to work there is just another option now

I definitely think it's on line with GGG Vision how Poe is supposed to be. If I cast spells myself I save a skill socket, mana and cooldown, if I automate it I will not get that Benefit. The Guardian skills in particular are intended to reduce the high damage values ​​that a single attack that is well displayed would cause. What melee build wants their cry to auto cast? Infernal Cry is used on packs at certain times, slam build want to line up their crys, Enduring cry needs to be used only on low life, ETC. Almost every cry you use, you want to use it for a certain condition. You don't want your cry on CD when you need it.

Damnnn. I was hoping they would just add cast while walk to console. This is the answer they came up with. 😢 I think console can be blamed. We were really hurting and wanting to get cast when walk. I’m sick of having one less active skill AND holding x the ENTIRE time in a map. I was hoping it could just get toggled onto a skill. 😔

With the extremeley bad looting on controller any skill bound to x will be up 99% of the time tho. Im using a dual sense tho and have guardskill on triangle bound to a paddle, and holding a paddle is a really comfy way of "automating" skills. Now i know everybody wont have that option tho but anyhow considering the bad lootmechanic where you miss the loot 3 out of 4 tries x skills is hardly a problem keeping off cd

Noone asked for most of the changes that made PoE to be PoE. Would GGG listen to every players, we would have D4bad before D4bad released. Noone said you should be using LMB as skill slot, but its been there for 10 years. Time to change things and go further. Not even talking about stupid GC Cyclon gameplay, when you have to hold LMB and RMB while pressing Berserk and Molten Shell, this Shit is unhealthy due to consistent pressure on you hand. And we all (non-streamers) use macroses, well most of us. New player will never notice this change, when old player knows what to do untill GGG provide us with new better gameplay feature.

Im a new player. Affliction was my first time ever playing. And I HATE this change. It makes no sense and makes the game even more confusing than it already was. This change makes the game even harder for new players to grasp. Binding something to left click was simple, easy and made perfect sense to me! I thought why is this not in every ARPG!!??? But this? Its great for controllers, and I think its necessary. But then it should be optional, just leave left click.... Sometimes having it on leftclick is a gameplay mechanic too, for example detonate mines, sometimes you want to stack mines and then leftclick to detonate them all at once at the right time, rather than on a cooldown.

This is not good at all and saying that this is good for console/controller players just makes it worse because it's saying that the vast majority got heavily fucked because of this people not being able to left click. If you ask me, the solution is not removing the cooldown or lessening mana cost on auto gems, but bringing back the left click button. If this is a buff for console/controller players, then GGG just made us be at same playing field as console/controller players, instead of making console/controller player be at the same playing field as Mouse/Keyboard players. Like what's the point of removing the left click button? They could also just make it so that any skill slotted on the left click button not be affected by auto gems. I seriously do not see the merit of removing left click button, this will just pissed off all Mouse/keyboard players and blame the console/controller players for this nerf.

It's funny, how people say that no one had a problem with this. What you and other people saying this, really mean, is, that YOU, personally didn't have a problem with this. This has long been a problem for console players. This is an amazing solution/addition. I play maybe 90% on PC and I still think this is a great solution. PoE is about sacrificing something, to get something else. Many uniques has a downside and then you find a solution and build around that, to make it work. This is exactly the same. If you want something automated, you spend some mana/lifetap/EB and lose a socket. It's a secrifice to make something work. That is the concept of what PoE was built around. It baffles me, that people are reacting so negatively to this change...
