In this video we are covering the Necropolis and Path of Exile 2 Ranger Teasers, explore how Reddit user Silicemis may have designed something very similar only 2 weeks ago.
And then I share some thoughts on the GGG Live rebranding and what might be changing over at Grinding Gear Games in the lead up the PoE 2 Launch

PoE draws the most hardcore fans. It’s crazy how much detail silicemis put into theory crafting a whole league. GGG respect their fans so wouldn’t be surprised he gets a tap on the shoulder one day to flesh out a league and bring it to life

I started the league idea from there actually. However I dropped it by convenience as I felt stuck. It is way easier to create a new system you can model however you like than to overhaul an old one. In general, making these posts make me appreciate the work GGG does even more than before.

I enjoy hearing the theories that people have for the mechanics of new leagues and it's nice to see that people still have a big imagination nowadays. Great video, I do want to throw in not really a theory but a speculation about something more niche if that is fine I am a console player and I noticed something that could be pretty big. The launch date for this league is just the 29th. No separate dates for different systems. Both on website and KZbin. This is the first case ever from what I have been able to dig up, I even went back through Sanctum and they all said separate dates. This could be from the new format, but I really believe there are two possible things happening 1. Same league launch times. ( most likely Or 2. Same launch times and crossplay. I do think crossplay is inevitable as without it the market for console players will fall apart. It's just a matter of when. I have high hopes for it being this league or at least the start of working heavily towards it for poe 1. There is also tech on pc coming to gamepad/console where pc players are able to bind something to left click. It will now be able to be done on controller in some way in 3.24. It was confirmed in the build of the week for the blade blast brand character. That's a really big thing for console and gamepad users to finally be able to do. Regardless of what happens, I'm curious about your thoughts { or anyone else's } , what do you think? { Read below if you doubt crossplay or need more insight on the state of console. } To those who meet the conditions above, please go to the post on the path of exile website made in August 2022 regarding console trade, and the improvements they have made since then. In that post, trade board is being phased out in the future. The future has arrived and the amount of improvements they have made are large in number. Please connect to the many dots that point towards the future of cross play. If you don't want to believe it then don't, in the end, it's not up to me or you. It's up to the developers who are trying to grow and have stated that bringing us together is important.

Hey mate, So I have absolutely no more news about this however you’ve actually taught me a couple with this comment. That being said. I have for a long time wanted to see cross play in PoE. With PoE2 coming it looks like cross play for the first time is going to be coming if they can get all the certifications and patch validation pipeline sorted. My housemate is a game dev working a big live service title and tells me that they have so many issues with getting patches and updates certified on consoles compared to PC so that may have been a factor for a long time. That being said I just don’t think you can beat the HUGE marketing and player base growth opportunity that have cross play for this game can offer especially since there are so many D4 players who enjoyed that game but are craving more ‘depth’. I for one have multiple friends and family that I know would love PoE and want to play it with me but only play on consoles so I am personally hoping to see it come to life. Now will we get it this league!? I really can’t say, I agree the direction and intention is clearly pointing to there but when I don’t know. It would make some sense that they start to announce changes given that this is the last pre PoE2 league and we know that will have something to say about co-op

@@sylverxyz thank you for the very detailed reply man 😭 And yeah I understand how difficult it is making crossplay work. I do hope both games get crossplay at some point here soon. I only have my speculations about it this league mainly due to cross progression being a thing In PoE2 confirmed in the Wudijo interview, meaning cosmetics are pretty much required to be usable between all platforms regardless of where they were purchased. That also leads to more dots and things that need cleaned up in poe 1 beforehand. I do believe it's going to have to do something with console players having to create a actual path of exile account and linking them to their console accounts with their Playstation or Xbox login information. And I am curious to see if any of this will happen. It would be really nice for it to happen this league, as I'm really really afraid for the market. With the player bases going to split for the beta and after launch, console market will be completely dead or close to it, resulting in the worst state market in poe history for console at least. That's why I am just huffing on massive copium here and hoping. I really want all of us to be able to interact and play together. I just worry if it's not done soon, it will be too late and people will drift when player numbers are at its lowest. Pc will be fine. It is just console will suffer heavily. Really really hope my speculations are correct and crossplay is here in 3.24 but we will see. Ultimately we want the economy and the game to be as big and successful as possible and having a much bigger audience base across platforms is the best possible way to do that. Can all of the technicality’s be solved? Coping alongside you that the big brains at GGG can figure it out, I’m sure it’s no easy feat.
