On this day, Eastern Iowa saw more tornadoes in a 24 hour period than it had in recorded meteorological history and was part of a regional outbreak that produced the third most tornadoes in a 24 hour period in our nation's history. The owner of the farm in the foreground had evacuated, though sadly the farm took a direct hit. This was our first tornado of the day, an EF-3 moving at 65 MPH straight for us. Later this tornado would merge with an EF-4 near Keota that we intercepted. Keep your eyes on the circling skies my friends, Windcatcher out!
