I was able to see a group of Tibetan Monks perform live. There were only 6 of them, but they can actually pitch at least two distinct sounds (which isn't supposed to be probable) at the same time. And the length of the modulated notes was ..... This recording takes me back but seeing/hearing them live, was without compare, a treasure in memory.

You might be talking about overtone singing. Which is singing 2 tones at the same time. One is like a droning sound..and the other sort of like a whistle sound. It's pretty interesting how people do it. KZbin it...Avi Kaplan (former bass singer for the Pentatonix) has a few videos of him doing it.

Overtone singing. Can get a deep bass growl and a high pitched whistle at the same time. Very impressive.

Long ago at the Van Nuys, CA based Spiritual Chapel of the Flowers (Spiritualist Church) a VERY good British medium gave me a message from spirit that SOUND would heal me. She couldn't elaborate on that at the time and I didn't know what it could mean. I looooove Tibetan and crystal bowls being played and when I experienced some Tibetan monks in Taos in 1998 doing that throat singing, I could feel energy going through my body. I am currently desperate for healing, so I'll be listening to this all day!

I believe when you chase some sort of objective and tell yourself “I’ll be happy once I get this or once I have this or do this” you’ll find that once you get that thing you’re no different than before. I believe the path to “happiness” is within, not some external point to run to, so look within and find a perspective that allows you to be “happy” in the present. And I think “happiness” is maximized when you’re lost in the moment and not thinking of something else while you’re doing whatever it is that is bringing you “happiness”. I find meditation helps practice being present and being in your body more than your mind. I also find that while meditating the mind is put at ease, making it easier to find a healthy perspective on things. The future never happens so choose to enjoy things the way they currently are. Piss on me & beat me.. The media tries to convince citizens on both sides of the political spectrum that the other side is insane. When you assume that everyone on the other side agrees with the lunatics on their side then you enter every conversation at a disadvantage. The polarization in this country will be solved when we one by one start being open to conversation and disagreements without assuming the opposition is supporting lunatics. I can ride my bike with no handlebars..
