Your series on 'Clair de Lune' has been incredibly helpful to me. Thank you so much for taking the time to share this excellent video series. I refer to it daily as I practice and I've gained so much subtle info from it. I'm so grateful to you.

I watched these videos before starting this piece and very glad I did - not only good fingerings but counting the 9/8 to start probably saved me a world of pain!

Thankyou so much John. I just went back to practice classical after so many years. Claire de Lune was the main reason. Thanks again.

Very helpful - my son is trying to play this one and his fingers get mangled up - this helps him see where to place them properly! Thank you for posting.

stunning tutorial, and excellent video. as a pro guitarist coming back to piano (was my first instrument) I have printed off the sheet music to this. the fingerings will help me out immensely, as I am primarly an ear player, I can read but slowly. thanks!

I'm a beginner and this is exactly how I was fingering it naturally, yet I watched several videos of other people teaching and performing it and they seem to do it differently so I'm not sure what's best.

Hello Mr Barton! I'll come back to this video, maybe next week. I'm sure it would help! Anyway, could you please make a tutorial on Chopin's 'Black key' étude? The right hand evenness and left hand jumps are a struggle. Thanks!

At 3:10 you play a triad on your left hand with a E flat but I think it should have been a D flat. The one you play is correct but on the second strike on 3:30. Would love some input as to whether the sheet music from your book differs from others.

Thanks a lot! very helpful, At end bar 16 you play with the left hand Eb minor, it is right? in my score is Gb minor.... not a such difference, but I am curious..

Pablo Woiz I think it's supposed to be a Gb major in bar 16 and them an Eb minor in bar 18. In both scores I have anyway.

So, I am not a classically trained pianist, and in the first few bars I play those thirds in the right hand using only my index and middle finger. This seems like the sort of thing that trained pianists would frown upon...even though with the pedal it sounds practically identical

question... my score indicates a different fingering pattern on bar 66. I realize you should just use what ever is best for you but... im curious, is my score different from the original?
