I have to add that you are the first of many many people I see working on cars with no gloves these days. I never wear them. I dont like wearing them cuz I cant feel things like I do without them.

05 venture owner. Thx bro. Even the Alternator gave me fits. You gotta rotate that engine fwd to do anything near the fire wall.

I just finished installing the rats nest of heater hoses due to leaks. I removed coil packs throttle body and numerous hoses and connectors. Decided to replace the back plugs while everything was removed. No problem, but when I put the coil packs back on I left the two thirteen nuts off on purpose. In case I need to get in there again. They were just too hard to remove. Thanks for the video.

Crazy enough, that is exactly how you do it. If you went into detail you would have about 200,000 hits.

I did go into detail, people want to be spoon fed nowadays 🤣

removing the passenger side tire/wheel allows access to the back plugs (sit in the wheel well). It's mostly left hand only, but if you take your time it works.

These back plugs are a pain for sure.

I did this a few years ago. It is still the worst job I have ever done. You will have to feel for the plugs without the benefit of sight, and there will be a bolt sticking straight up into your forearm the whole time you are messing with it. If the wires have frozen onto the plugs as mine were, then you are in for lots of fun. There is no room for you to move your hand to pull up on the wires. And there will be no room for any tools. After many many attempts over a 2 week period, I finally got the wires off the plugs by tying slip knots (with one hand) around and under the wire jackets using a nylon cord. Then pull as hard as you can. Then you will need 3 swivel extensions to remove the plugs. The front 3 plugs took 2 minutes to replace. The back ones took 2 weeks.

Did you have the Venture or the Impala...or Pontiac? That Venture looks tighter than a you know what...

@@raysdga Venture 3.8. Have been trying to replace the thermostat for several years now. Worst vehicle to work on ever.

@@raysdga Yeah...I started several years ago. Had to remove a lot of things just to reach the thermostat. Even so, I managed to strip the rear bolt head due to its position and thinness. I have tried using a cold chisel, flame, bolt extractors. No luck.

That Venture looks A LOT tighter than the Impala 3400. I just did the back 3 plugs 20 minutes ago on my Impala. Took 1.5 hours. I took the driver side coil off that's it. It sucked. I will never do it again. I will call a tow truck b4 that sh1t...
