3.5.2 Books by Dawkins, Shubin and Long

Discussion of three books. The Ancestor's Tale (by Dawkins and Wong) is a pilgrimage with rendez-vous deeper and deeper down our branch of the phylogenetic tree. Shubin's "Inner Fish" describes the fish foundations of our anatomy. "The rise of fishes" (by Long) is a paean to the Devonian Period that includes the earliest tetrapod footprints.
