3.6 FSI Forge Intake - Idle sound (VR6 Passat CC)

Idle sound of BWS engine with FORGE Intake, naturaly aspirated 3597ccm (3.6), direct inject gasoline, with power lf 220kW 300ps @6600rpm and 350nm of torque from 1500rpm
Used in Volkswagen CC, Passat R36, Passat B7 and Passat CC

I have this exact same setup....I was very dissapointed with Forge's quality....Pure garbage in my eyes...Plus the kit didn't fit properly, my shop had to make a custom braket so ths garbage would fit........This FORGE $500 dollar kit can be made from a few pieces of PVC hose and a empty Coffe cotainer, i was very dissapointed. Are those aftermarket Coilpacks? Or is that just a red plastic piece covering the stock ones? Hello from Calgary! :)

Ihave passat 3.6 vr6 but from 2006 with 160k kilometers and it sound the same.

how did you adjust the shorter mouth of the Forge to fit the slightly larger hole of the intake ? i have exactly the same. i am happy that i got this quality closedtype CAI , though not a perfect fit. it is designed for golf vr6 mk5

Idk. This is cousin’s one. But i have installed this one on my 2012 CC (2nd gen), and it didnt fit perfect 😃 i didnt use last pipe (from valve to intake manifold)

Yes. New timming chains and the engine is decarbonised

I dont know. But not much. But can feel better torque in lower revs

The video is about 2009 CC vr6, that same forge intake was later installed on 2010 CC vr6, still without problems. But then I installed it on my CC 2012, and it broken my power totaly (propably burned cats) 250ps with the intake. When I changed it back the power never got back again to normal values. I should have 310ps/380Nm and i have only 270ps and 330Nm

I had. Cuz owners before me didnt care about that car much. But Ive made refurbish, and now it eats nothing. 0. Even when I go redline almost every day.

@@davosworks most 3.2 and 3.6 di engines run their first chain dozens of grands of miles above 120k miles. So most of them sound exactly like this. Its the high pressure pump making that noise.
