In Australia, the presence of wild boar, commonly referred to as feral pigs, poses significant challenges to the farming community, resulting in multifaceted impacts on agricultural productivity. These animals, due to their invasive nature, disrupt farmland through rooting and wallowing, leading to soil erosion, damage to crops, and the destruction of native vegetation.

Having seen them, I've often wondered if they may be developed for military use, or in this case, as pest exterminators. The quadrupedal ones seem pretty adept at covering all kinds of terrain. Shooting and trapping alone seems to be a losing battle. There has been speculation that robots may well replace soldiers in some situations, so why not for animal control ?@@tony98discovery

Yes, while the idea of using robots for military or pest control purposes may hold promise, it's essential to approach these discussions with careful consideration of the potential benefits and risks, as well as broader societal and ethical implications.

In the Philippines, wild pigs are an ENDANGERED SPECIES. Because Filipinos love eating the meat of "baboy damo" or wild pigs -- and hunt them to near extinction. Perhaps the Philippines might be interested in importing the frozen (but cooked) carcasses of Australian wild pigs. Not only for human consumption, but also for our Tilapia fish farms, crab farms, even dog food. Our Department of Agriculture should look into this situation.
