@JackCecil2 жыл бұрын

@TheKevin11832 жыл бұрын
@@JackCecil th350 tend to shatter the bell housing when you decelerate from higher speeds with 3.73s. Ive seen 700r4 do it as well. Usually its in the same application as what you have. I know you are talking changing it out but just a little something to think about.

Bro, 373 gears are straight highway gears. Not race gears. At 70 mph you should be running around 2000 rpms.
@musclebone78754 ай бұрын
Depends on the kind of transmission that you use.
@salimsopari3 ай бұрын
Depends how many gears you have, 3 or 4
@Antonio-nc2be2 ай бұрын
With overdrive is fine but my nova with 3.42s and c10 with 3.73s and 3 speed transmissions are screaming 😱 on the highway. Not as bad as my 9 second camaro with 4.56s. I haven't decided what gear to run in my 77 elco I just bought
I just did this swap… If you want to go fast for the first few seconds it’s well worth it… but that’s all you pretty much can do. You can’t use it on the high way and you look like an idiot going 55 at 3k rpm. If you have a 8.2 rear end with a 2.73 rear end LEAVE IT as is. I promise you will miss the ability to cruise at 90 at 2200rpm. If your definitive on getting a posi then nothing higher than a 3.08. This gear swap gets old real fast especially with your mpg. You’ll litteraly see your needle move as you drive.
@raymondwilliams7732 Жыл бұрын
Yes your right, don't it

Totally agree 👍 my last 3 hot rods were 4.56s 3.73s and 3.42s all with 3 speed transmission driving 50-65 at 3k RPMs on the highway gets old real quick. Might just keep my 2.73s in my elco
@eduardonunez43772 ай бұрын
