@@albertindiahater7756 i disagree. 3.73 with a 3spd at 65mph was just under 3500rpm on a 275 60 15 in my S10. Actually ran cool and got decent mileage. Now 70mph and it was useless

the 5.3 with a Brian Tooley cam kit and a convertor and you will have more than enough fun daily power. I daily drive a 1998 camaro SS with a BTR stage 4 cam and I love it.

A cam is easy to swap in and really wakes those little 305's up. 327 "camel hump" factory manifolds do great as well. That quadra-junk on top of it needs to go ASAP.

+1 but you're better off with a set of $100ish shortys and a performer intake with a 570/600cfm holley. A set of vortec 5.0 heads would really wake it up too. The vortec 305s make nearly 300hp with an intake and carb only.
